Continuation of a petition to get PLD upgrades

PLD has:

lowest DPS in DPS stance (even w/slashing debuff)
the lowest DPS by far while tanking (using shield oath)
slowest to build threat while tanking
by far the lowest AoE damage
worst TP management
worst penalty for switching between tank & dps stance (lose 2 GCDs, one to swap stances, one to swap back).
worst mitigation vs. magic damage
and shield bash is way too expensive given their poor TP management skills

This is too much, hallowed ground and carrying a shield doesn't make up for it.


If shield swipe was off the GCD with a ~20s cooldown and kept the damage and threat modifier, it would fix PLDs threat and damage while tanking. It's not a very good for TP management since it's a DPS loss and it's not even usable while OT or in pure magic fights. Something else should be PLD's TP management.

Since PLD has the lowest overall DPS, it seems overly punitive to be the slowest to swap between stances. Take Shield/Sword Oath off the GCD.

There's already a billion PLD feedback threads, is my point.

Which is why I had a no discussion rule on the original one. But it got locked....because of that reason alone. I'm more surprised they got me for a reason not even listed on the forum rules and not for me plainly bumping my own thread. But I'm trying to show that quite a few people do want upgrades, in some form or another, to the job due to present weaknesses that can and will grow. Which is why I ask for support in hopes to avert PLD from crashing until 4.0 and hope to continue to get support so the class is changed in one form or another for the better. It doesn't need to be the best, but it needs to at least be able to clear content were it doesn't need 2-4 weeks to gear up to even start being a viable option for a majority of players.

inb4 they make Paladin into Bard. Cast times for everything. ( I hope not.)
