Let's turn the topic into a GIF one. That's not so bad after all considering that i almost slept on the autobiography earlier.
Oh for heavens sake people... just because someone fails to express himself the way you want does not mean you cannot see what he's getting at. Nor does it mean you should make fun of him ffs.
1. He's concerned that many new players may be giving up because there is such a huge set of main scenario quests to wade through from 1-50, and then another 100 quests to get into Ishgard.
He has a point and it has been discussed ad infinitum in other threads.
2, He pointed out that most people [FCs suffer more for this] in general have no hope of ever getting a house.
JUST 1440 lots in existence per world...what the hell was SE thinking?
When we responded, only the first 2 paragraphs were in his post.Oh for heavens sake people... just because someone fails to express himself the way you want does not mean you cannot see what he's getting at. Nor does it mean you should make fun of him ffs.

I read the rest. He has some points I agree with for sure. Mostly that DPS checks as the key mechanic for raids is not great design. I moved to FFXIV from GW2, because I felt that all mechanics boiled down to deal as much DPS as possible while dodging aoes. At the time, coil had many cool mechanics to deal with. BisEX, RavEX and A1S remind me of what I disliked about GW2.
At the very beginning of his post it wasn't edited completely and not understandable at all. He went to edit afterward.just because someone fails to express himself the way you want does not mean you cannot see what he's getting at
I truly wish SE had chosen to follow Rift's method of dealing with housing. It was all instanced and you just bought a key for an actual instanced [dimension]part of the world, all of which were pretty darned awesome looking. You could set it to public or to private and incite only the folks you wanted to enter. Best thing was you could create whatever the heck you wanted inside your dimension either through buying the building mats or making them yourself and then building. OH and it was CHEAP to get your slice of the world too!
Some examples from my home shard, Faeblight
Some have even created mini dungeons for 5 mans inside their dimensions.

Translation
Too many story quests
Too much focus on dps
Bored of aoes and the reuse of mechanics
His friends not got enough dps
Everqiest is better
Housing is crap
He doesn't care about what you think
The sky is blue

I do agree about the housing issue. That is a major problem on all worlds.
However I do feel that one should play the story quests to get to Heavensward. Simply because it makes no sense to skip straight to Heavensward from the start. I do agree the dps checks are a bit much, but people have gotten used to it.
Perhaps some of the main story quests can be combined together to conserve time. All the 2.0 patch story quest are a bit much.
