Editing Forum Tags To Insult People

gonna go through life being upset about a lot..and i mean a lot of things if forum tags are something that bother you.

I dunno, I've seen some pretty vile things dropped down there in the tags, usually on longer threads that involve heated discussion. It seems like some people can't just have a debate; they have to be nasty about it in every way possible from bringing up personal things about the OP to putting mean things in the tags (which is pretty cowardly when you get down to it). I certainly wouldn't tolerate someone getting up in my face and saying abusive things to me in real life. I don't think people should have to tolerate it here either.

Does that make it any less of a bad thing to do regardless of wether people should get mad about it or not?

Sure a thick skin in any heated debate may be a internet requirement, that doesn't mean people should get away for treating others as garbage.

I can't stand those who think it doesn't matter if you're an asshole to others just cause "it's the internet, who cares?"
Of course, it's easier to get away with things because your real life reputation goes unaffected most of the time, but it doesn't make it acceptable. There is no excuse for treating others like shit. None. It's not ok.

Thank you for this thread Grimmel. Did not even know that you could edit someone else tags. Its really sad that people really do that to insult other people..good to know that you can at least see who posted that tag and that it is allowed to report them. Anyone who did such a thing should be banned from the forums. And just because the world wide web is full of negative things and bad behavior there is no need to increase that.

Its good too that you went back to older threads to report these people. Just because its older doesn't make it less bad and its seems there is at least one person in this thread that once did that and have something against that

I also agree with one of the tags: Sticky this at least the people will be warned and may stop with it.

I know it seems like too much but I usually got back ten pages to check tags. Some of the topic in the past ten pages are only a few days old so it's worth it to get these people to know they shouldn't do this type of thing.

Yeesh, people actually do this? That's pretty Damn low to do. If you're gonna disagree with someone at least have the decency to be upfront about it instead of trying to snipe them. It just makes you look bad.
