the piece that drops in raids wouldn't be specific. so A1S will drop a wristband template or whatever accessory template. if you're in a static, you would just give the wristband to whoever doesn't have one yet and hasn't gotten much other stuff in awhile. you won't have a situation were two fending wrists drop and nobody wants them.

you take the wristband template and you turn it in to an NPC along with a crafted Fending/Casting/Healing/etc gem (which is 100% with successful desynthesis of any Unweathered goldsmith item of that type) and Fenrir Leather which is made with Red Alumen (Folkore node item) and a Fenrir Hide which is 100% drop from Snowcloak.

yes, it will take more work to get the good gear, but good gear should be worth some effort and you get people doing content and circulating items and gil in the economy.

there's no reason why treasure maps can't be made proper challenge. they just have to tune the fights tighter. the whole thing is a time trial, you have to kill everything in time and you only have 8 people. if you can't imagine how that can be challenging your imagination is just very limited. the issue is, things that are tuned to be harder has to be worth something or you end up with Pharos Sirius on release, too hard and nothing drops that's worth the effort. a change like this would make treasure maps not a guarantee to lose money.

if FATEs aren't fun for you don't do them. just buy the Behemoth Horn you'll need off the marketboard from someone who wanted to do the Behemoth FATE.

it's beneficial to people who don't mind doing Snowcloak (or The Aery to get a Nidhogg scale, or whatever dungeon/trial/FATE that will drop these craft mats). what RMT problem?

so your suggestion is what? just make more content faster?
