Block first timers from Party Finder!

i am not against the system, however, i am curious as to how something like that would work? what about those cases where the the duty your going to run is not available to be seen in the PF duty list?(don't think there is any now but at 3.0 launch there were quite a few) would everything get a block the first timers like diadem?

In these cases in guess it couldn't apply, although as a QoL feature Square should really just add everything (trial wise) to the party finder. I'm not sure why they even had it so some weren't there.

Unfortunately, even with a system like this, there will still be instances of people joining and wasting a groups time. Like I said before though, I agree it should be something in place.

That may be true, since clear =/= farm. But the majority of the 'leechers' would still be avoided, since they tend to be of the "I haven't cleared this yet, and thus joining you got to get a free clear" type.

(And yes, I know you're not arguing against the suggestion ^^)

This. Most of the people leeching are the ones who want their free clear.

According to previous posts by Community Rep, if someone join PF, agreed the rule but broke it, then it can be reported and GM will punish him.
So I think keep reporting such cheaters may draw GMs attention and then they will reflect the needs for this option to the Dev. ^^;

that seems a bit....extreme. using "Cheaters" is also a strong word. its more like dishonest.why not kick him out? and i thought the rule was that PF can make there own groups and can enforce their own rules. not that its a report-able offense. i may be wrong if so can i see the post that mentioned it was against the rules?

Make something like Thordan Practise Party for First Experience impossible since there is no df for it. Forget it.

1. The fact that new EX primals are not in DF is a problem of its own. Personally I think it is stupid. If the people want to DF it, they should be allowed. There many skilled players who like to DF things, there is no point to stop them if they want to risk it.

2. You haven't read the topic. The option should be "optional". So the first timers could still enter PF if the option isn't selected.

I think you're responding to the thread title (granted, the title is a bit misleading but thus far there's been no luck getting it changed). OP isn't asking to exclude first-timers from the PF completely. What they're asking for is a flag or click-box or some such that would allow a party leader to prevent first-timers from joining a party made specifically for the purpose of farming. This wouldn't do anything to prevent those without clears from making their own parties for learning or clearing - in fact, it would probably encourage it.
