Unfriendly? It's stated in the first paragraph of the thread how much I help people. I've posted screenshots of getting new players clears to prove it because I'm sick of being called selfish, just because I want to do something for myself in the game.
My name is Lumina Sora, I'm on Cerberus. Need any help? /tell me and I'll help you. Just don't join my party finder specifically for farms and be selfish yourself. There is a time and a place. That one person joining 7 other people for their free clear is the person with the 'me me me' attitude.
BTW, I'm not a NA player.

I've been stalking this thread for a while now, and have just been too lazy to actually login.
Yes, yes, and yes.
If you have no familiarity with a given fight and you join a farm party for said fight, you are being selfish and showing a complete disregard for other's time. Don't have an expectation that you are entitled to be carried through things - that is gross.
If this option is never implemented, at the very least I'd love to see people who were honest about their experience prior to entering trials/raids/etc. Expecting honesty is probably a bit of a pipe dream though.
Had this issue again today with Thordan-EX
a player who put up a Farm party, yet when we fill up, adds in "Oh by the way, I have new player bonus" right before we start. Basically trying to bait 7 people into a clear for them.
They then proceeded to screw up on Phase 7 and wipe the party, and from there the party's morale just fell.
If SE actually put new fights in DF when released instead of keeping them out for no apparent reason, maybe people will actually be able to experience content. Really what reason is there to lock Thordan EX out of DF? What reason was there to lock Ravana/Bismark EX out of PF until now? I mde a thread in the gamefaq before about this.
People gave responses like: "Well noobs and bads probably wont be able to beat it them at release anyway lol"
I kept getting that response and its terrible and illogical. I wonder.. is SE purposely keeping it out of DF because they know the general playerbase doesn't use PF? Are people who don't have statics or don't use PFs as much labeled as "Bads"?
Adding duties to DF at LAUNCH will do nothing but help the community. There will always be random DF pugs that end up beating stuff.
And that way, no one would have an excuse for not at least seeing the dang fight or a minute of it.
I cleared T1-5(even T3), T6, T7, and got T8 to 2% in DF. Wiping at 2% was so outrageous I kinda quit FFXIV for a day...

It has more to do with party comp than bads, especially in the older stuff. That matters a lot more when stuff gets launched.
"I cleared T1-5(even T3), T6, T7, and got T8 to 2% in DF."
By then you and your group outgeared it and the strats had become standard. Day 1 progression is a whole different game.
Thank you for signing in to support the thread Missybee!
Felmyst, nothing is stopping the first timer from making a group in the Party Finder for a first-time clear. Please read and understand the thread, it might keep you entertained while you level.
No, this is a matter of separating people. It does not mean if anyone did a kill they will be better. Some people are excellent at doing their homework and watching videos and study, or even have better dodge reflexes then anyone who done it.
OP want to the option to put a barrier. Where in reality the problem lies into the community being honest to each other. Primals farming a thing everyone wishes to accomplish for the weapons, TT cards and ponies or whatever motive people have behind them. Farming is farming.
Make social network, linkshells friends, contacts. Then go for the win with such pre made group. Party Finder is a community tool. I understand it's not perfect to everyone's eyes but blocking people from each other is a terrible idea.
Nobody around one night? Tempt your luck with community and just hope people are honest. And besides if you know they are first timer. It is because you achieved the kill anyway and that they got their achievement appearing in chat log. So that is another BIG point.
So please understand other's point of view as well before being judge mental.

Anybody who did the kill has improved from their state before they did the kill. It is safe to say that experienced players in general are more likely to be better.
You can't really enforce honesty in a MMORPG game without barriers and penelaties when most of the players just care about themselves. Why do you think we have penalty for leaving duties? Because players are selfish.
Just yesterday I saw a Thordan wipe party in PF. It was laughed at, as who would waste their time when they can snuck in a farm party for easy kill? Not having the barrier is actually making it harder to create learning parties, because the community is on individual level seeing them as ineffective for their time.
You can be sure that unless players aren't allowed to do something, many are going to do it, because there is no real punishment on the Internet in a group of random people.
