Ok then, if you been playing MMO for 12 years, what mmo?
    also whats a gmod??
For the most part the three big ones are Everyquest, Runescape, and FFXI. before and between those just a few no name ones untill I started FFXIV. What I call a GMod is a Game Moderator. When you post a report or a complain a GMod (Game Moderator) will contact you in game about the issue. In all my cases no sooner then 30 minute.

    why hate on options?
I don't hate on option as a whole any option to help PF groups find like minded people is a good thing. But acting an option that flat out stops someone from joining outside of the Ilvl option is not a good thing. It can drive a wedge into the community with an almost tribal why of thinking. People only playing with a few select group of friend. Or screening people like criminals before being accepted into the group. In games like MUD's, TB/RTRPG's, and D&D like RPG's those are amazing feature. But not in games like FFXIV that thrive on the social aspect. The game is almost build around having to acknowledge the people around you.

ALSO ps3 players have to log out (if they don't own a pc) to access the lodestonec on ps3 browser and i can say with out a doubt it is CUMBERSOME to do. Lodestone/mobile is NOT ps3 browser friendly.
I'm sorry. it's been a long time since I've been on a PS3. You're right about the PS3's web compatibility.

Yeah, I understand why people do it. I understand that not everyone is a lazynik looking for a carry, but some feel that they just can't get a clear any other way. That's completely not true, though, and the end result on a farming party is generally the same either way. It tends toward people getting upset and the party breaking up, therefore thwarting the goals of both the farmers and of the person looking for a clear. On the odd occasions that you do actually kill it, probably 7 times out of 10 the person that wanted the clear snatches whatever loot they can, says 'thx gotta go dinner' and bails. It's frustrating on so many levels.
I understand it's frustrating but an option to block him does not solve the problem. Then you have the farmers waiting longer for the farm and you have the noob still sitting there with no clear. At least when the noob getting out of the way maybe now he'll come back for a farm to get the loot he needs.

A quote comes to mind when I think about this debate. "The rich get richer and the poor stay poor"
