Block first timers from Party Finder!

I suffer from "training party" "kill party" .. who make me train only phase 1 or 2 in revana's ex. spent planty of time joing that type of grp .. then i talked to "Farm party" i was first timer to them with bonus, but we didnt even get it done because other dps fail while im first timer who always was last man standing .. so they kicked me for no reason just because im first timer.

But, even with this option added, which I'm not against even though I don't use PF outside of Fate parties. Actually this is one of the reasons why I don't bother with PF. My own experience was way back in 2.0 after PF got added trying to get Titan HM clear for PLD relic. Got a player who after numerous wipes (I stated in PF for people who know the fight, as PLD relic wasn't my first 2.0 relic, had already cleard titan a few times before). A member said he had no idea of the fight and expected me to teach him without saying anything before we wiped multiple times.

But, back on topic. This will NOT stop players joining who bought clears and have less clue on mechanics than someone who is new and actually practiced mechanics a few times instead of taking a dirt nap as soon as the fight starts so the sellers can get them the clear.

Just another reason to go with the rest to make content selling against the EULA. In before: I've enough Gil to pay for any content. I pay to play, not to pay others to play for me. Also I've been offered to join sell parties, I told em to go *censored* themselves.

It's a very logical option to have. It won't hurt the community. People can be bad, but we aren't truly that bad. A lot of us, myself including, love to help out. Sometimes we just want a quick clear or a higher chance of winning, so it's understandable to want a group of only people who have cleared. Of course, the option should only be available to those who have cleared, maybe even 3 times minimum.

This would have been nice when I was trying to farm Bismarck Ex for my WHM cane. So many "new player" messages in my farm groups that wrecked otherwise good groups.

Funny how this also ties in with into why allowing a parser outside of Duty Finder, would be a huge benefit. You would not use kill exp only etc in the message, just simply put a your dps must be this much at minimum.
Some new players work hard, watch the videos, learn fast and already push out good to insane dps, although that's the minority on the latter so most of us can longer be bothered to take the chance too find out

I have done this countless times and in my experience, most of the people who I help leave after getting their clear. As I said, there's a time and a place. I am asking for an option. Not to completely block out new players. If you have the time to explain the fight and don't mind finding people with the same mindset, that's fine, but sometimes people just want to get on with it and farm quickly and easily. I shouldn't be obliged to help every new person that joins my farm party because they're either too rude, lazy or not good enough to form their own.

Also, as I said again, some new people do join, farm and are good at the fight. But this isn't always the case and myself and many others are pretty tired of playing roulette with the party finder.

True, but it would still filter out a lot of players trying to sneak in for a clear and then leaving. A bad player is a bad player, and there's nothing anyone can do. But there's a difference between a bad player and someone sneaking into a group for a free clear and/or the loot.

You're either part of the solution or part of the problem. A check box doesn't solve the problem it just seems like it because people can't be bothered to, you know, act like people.

I DO teach them. That was the first thing I said. The majority of people joining the farms aren't asking to be taught. They are keeping quiet in hope nobody will notice and can get a carry. So it's my obligation to teach every new member that joins each one of my farm parties, so I can successfully farm? Don't be ridiculous. The problem is the players who can't read a party finder rule or decide to be rude and selfish and ignore it. I'm not a mentor. I shouldn't have to teach everyone.

Bad players can get better with a bit of self motivation. Those who sneak in like that are just douches. Simple as.

Just to clarify, I'm all in favor of adding this option.

As I don't join farm groups I couldn't care less about the whims and woes that accompany said task. If I had to put forth an opinion on the subject it would be take what you get and deal with it or don't. I don't get the best of circumstances with players as a healer but I don't come here looking for a band aid. The problem is inexperience so teach them. You don't want newbs? You're asking others to treat said players with respect, yet where is the respect from them for joining farm parties with close to or zero experience of the fight and wasting everyones time instead? Respect is a two way street and joining farm parties expecting everyone else to be your teacher b*tch is as far from being respectful as you can get. Theres nothing stopping those players, except their own laziness from starting their own learning party, It may take a bit longer to fill and it is not unusual for some who have said content on farm to jump in and help.

Players teach when they want to. Not when others expect it. This is the reason PF was added so you could set flags and comments to look for like minded players, Farm parties look for people that are proficient with the content that clearing (barring the odd wipe due to sometimes differences in strats) not to teach. Theres the options to state that first timers are welcome, that they are happy to teach. As I said before, if there isn't a Party Finder set up which suits an individuals needs there is nothing stopping them from creating their own PF with their own requirements.

To be fair all they are doing is hurting themselves, as majority I know if that happens to their party is blacklist the person who did it. Which reduces the amount of parties they could join every time they lie their way into trying to get carried. As you cannot join a PF if the creater has you blacklisted.

Exactly, you're right. If a bad player wants to farm they can improve, or if they're really terrible I imagine they'd be kicked from the party regardless. My main issue is the people who have no idea whatsoever, don't even say they're new, and literally get carried before leaving, all in a farm party. What makes it more annoying is there's times where they've gotten the loot everyone was farming for to begin with.
