    This idea is purely good.

I don't think people who have not cleared are incapable of beating the content, obviously. It's very possible that someone who has never cleared before / has new player bonus could well be better than a player who has cleared one time and can link the drop they got lucky enough to win (Gods know I've carried enough corpses through Rav-ex.)

However, I do think people that -have- the clear are more likely to know the fight and not make the basic/novice mistakes. Note that I say 'More likely', as you at least have experience through the clear.

I hate when we make a Clear/Semi-Learning and people who haven't even seen Gana phase join the party, haven't watched the movie, etc etc.

I'd of kicked you right out the gate. Especially if you don't say it until we enter. Sorry - if you lack the integrity to say it out the gate before we get in, you're not welcomed in my parties. It's just how I tend to handle things.

This is honestly the major issue I have with people in PF. When they lie and join and don't say anything 'until it's too late', they eat up a slot and rob you of the decision. They try to strongarm you into bringing them along.

I'm not going to allow it if there's a lack of honesty and transparency. Someone with enough decency to send a tell, however, potentially will be welcomed after review with the party.

    On the note of the OP;

Yes, an option to block first timers from Party Finder is perfectly fine, as long as it's a clickable option as suggested. I pray SE never has us 'unlock' party finder options for clearing, as that will hurt our ability to do PF for specific things (And let's be fair - we'll just select 'Read Comment' in those cases.)

As I don't join farm groups I couldn't care less about the whims and woes that accompany said task. If I had to put forth an opinion on the subject it would be take what you get and deal with it or don't. I don't get the best of circumstances with players as a healer but I don't come here looking for a band aid. The problem is inexperience so teach them. You don't want newbs? Once they learn they won't be. Then you all can farm, farm, farm until you're blue in the face. You're either part of the solution or part of the problem. A check box doesn't solve the problem it just seems like it because people can't be bothered to, you know, act like people.

Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to those with knowledge, but time and chance happen to them all.

I DO teach them. That was the first thing I said. The majority of people joining the farms aren't asking to be taught. They are keeping quiet in hope nobody will notice and can get a carry. So it's my obligation to teach every new member that joins each one of my farm parties, so I can successfully farm? Don't be ridiculous. The problem is the players who can't read a party finder rule or decide to be rude and selfish and ignore it. I'm not a mentor. I shouldn't have to teach everyone.

It's alright, don't say sorry, I was in the wrong, I deserved to be kicked in that instance since the party clearly states no newcomers, I'll have to credit the party leader at the time for his judgement allowing me to join the party.

I should've said beforehand that there is a newbie with them, or not join the party at all.

As to why I said that this idea is in-between good or bad, it's because of

I myself have joined PF Parties that were farm parties with out the clear.

As a general rule though, I do either tell message the party leader for their approval or join the party and immediately inform them of my "noob" status for the general consensus of the team.

If they're not ok with it, I politely bow out. (How ever, being rude and just kicking with out saying anything after I've been honest will almost certainly result in being placed on my black list)

I've been given a chance before with out the clear and the team just ask me politely to leave until I have some more experience, and I politely thank them for the chance and bow out. I've also been given the benefit of the doubt and completely wreaked the boss with the party like I had run it a hundred times. (Which I usually have via trying and dying).

How ever, the rudeness of not speaking up prior to a run and ending up ruining it for every one else is something that needs to be culled as it make for an even more toxic environment. And the Elitists are already toxic enough with out being rilled up by inconsiderate trolls and rude "Sleeper" rookies sneaking in to the elitist farms.

I guarantee there'd be more nice "Farm Masters" willing to give people a shot if people would stop being rude and jumping in Farm parties with Zero experience. (And I'll personally attest that a video is no substitute for practical experience in raid level content)
