Can we block first timers from df also? im tired of having to explain everything to them.

Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to those with knowledge, but time and chance happen to them all.

And in return, can we get try-hards to NOT join learning parties on the Party Finder, and then complain that there was a single wipe (because they were expecting it to be an easy farm group)?
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.

This thread really shows that reading comprehension is somewhat lacking here.
No wonder 50% screwed up the hairstyle voting.
Thread: Yes, more options would be nice.

As long as the option to tick "newcomers not welcome" is not available if you're new yourself or already have a newcomer in the party, I'm not against it. Bad experiences with the second possibility. Not a fan of joining a learning party (not in the PF yet) then realize it says "farm" in the PF after the leader sets it, either.

I don't think this will happen and rightly so. Almost every single party finder would be locked out from newcomers which is wrong and i believe SE would feel the same way.

An option to block new players joining a clear/farm party marked as "no newcomers" is much needed. Joining pony farms just to see bonus, after scraping the barrel for a full party, will lead to the group disbanding quickly. You are in to clear quickly, not wipe endlessly or teach mechanics; that's what learning parties are for.
I would be one of those new players no doubt, and I would agree as well, can't say from experience in FFXIV but I know what a pain in the ass this is from playing wow.
Is there cross realm capability in this game? I haven't really watched for what realm people are from in Duty Finder or anything else. This seemed to help a lot in wow, in terms of pre-mades that is. even if you are from a low pop realm you still can get pre-mades put together rather quickly.

An additional feature to that, that people that are new can request to join would be helpful on low population servers. Then the party leader can either accept the request and the newbie can join the party or decline (and maybe PM with each other first too).
Because on low population servers, it sometimes takes hours to get enough people, also depending on the time of the day/week.
Exactly the possibilities with cross realm capabilities are endless.
