Block first timers from Party Finder!

Well, you didn't evne read the first post, if that's your response. Considering Winter had posted that it would be an option (They even used bold in their original post.)

This is a thought that comes up against the idea multiple times but this idea is only to keep new people out of a party finder that is made as a 'Farm' party. It does nothing to prevent people from making their own or joining Learning parties.

Remember this would be an OPTION. Can new people still be invited to a party? Yes. Can new people still /tell the leader and ask to be invited? Yes. Can they rudely join the party without asking and ignoring rules? No. This would be an option. Also, remember the options are actually already there with 'serious play and high level gear', they just need to be enforced.

Make something like Thordan Practise Party for First Experience impossible since there is no df for it. Forget it.

I think you're responding to the thread title (granted, the title is a bit misleading but thus far there's been no luck getting it changed). OP isn't asking to exclude first-timers from the PF completely. What they're asking for is a flag or click-box or some such that would allow a party leader to prevent first-timers from joining a party made specifically for the purpose of farming. This wouldn't do anything to prevent those without clears from making their own parties for learning or clearing - in fact, it would probably encourage it.

According to previous posts by Community Rep, if someone join PF, agreed the rule but broke it, then it can be reported and GM will punish him.
So I think keep reporting such cheaters may draw GMs attention and then they will reflect the needs for this option to the Dev. ^^;

I actually blisted new person once that joined to farm party. Was long time ago and I took person off blist few days after, but I never saw him again...

Not impossible, you go to Party Finder > click trials > select Thordan Extreme > select what kinda players you want to comment section "Training from the start, newbs welcome!" or something else and lastly patiently wait pt to fill up. (I did this just few nights ago, had fun even if it was short time).

Some barely made it. How to stop these things?
I ran Sepiroth extreme 12 times. During these times, I saw people having the weapon already and yet proceed to wipefest.
I was so frustrated and down, I afk from my computer for hours. Came back in to try again. Becomes another wipefest.

The goal isn't to stop it completely(as wonderful as it would be if it was possible). The goal is to greatly reduce the chance of that happening.

While that's true, there's literally nothing we can do to stop people from getting carried. However, this option would stop people from getting carried because they want the clear, which is surprisingly a lot of people.

I have been thinking that reversed option would be also nice - party for only the people who haven't done the fight at all, or tried it only few times. The longer the players wipe the more frustrated they are and that leads to quite a bit of toxicity, which makes things difficult for players who save content for later or wait for better gear.

That's also a good idea. With these all being options, there really is no reason these can't be implemented.

I just wanted to bump this and say GJ to SE in relation to the raid finder settings, and I'm glad they added these features to filter people's preferences. A step in the right direction is always good.
