Sorry - character limit, I can't fit everything into one thread. But why not exactly? The only thing this is hurting is the people who try to sneak into farm parties. The option is available to allow new players if they wanted. This is literally only filtering players if they haven't finished the content and are trying to join farms which clearly state they don't want newcomers. There are still tonnes of learning, clear and 'new comers welcome' parties available and they can simply create their own.

The bigger problem are people who were carried on their kill and are really bad but join farm parties anyway after their carry win, many farmers are like this.

Having an option for this would be good. Though yeah I must say the title and how it's presented is rather bait-y.

Aye. I joined a farm group today for Ravana EX and the bonus law message came up. I didn't care as long as we got the kill, and to me Ravana EX is not a very demanding fight.

We hit enrage twice. Didn't clear once. I realized there were multiple new people immediately. That's just not cool. Don't join farm parties if you don't know what you're doing. It takes time to put up a PF and things like one new guy joining can make an hour of waiting and twenty minutes of wiping be for naught.

Lol, funny thing is, I'm that guy, as in, I'm the newbie entering a farm party, but I had multiple experience up until final lib and enrage.

I joined the farm party, they saw the fresh meat bonus, they then linked proof of their clearance, weapon/totem/wing/etc.

Then I said, "Me, I'm the new guy", then the berating ensues, leader decided that it's only fair that I was given a chance.

End result, I stayed to farm, 2 others got kicked because they messed up multiple times. Fun times.

Although it is not really recommended to join a "Farm" party when you're still a newbie, but there are people out there that hasn't cleared but knows the entire fight, at least until enrage.

    >_> Most farm parties I joined gets farmed instead of farming said boss.

    EDIT: Adding opinion

Having an option to allow ONLY people who have cleared to join the party would be a somewhat in-between good or bad idea, although having more option wouldn't hurt imo.

This won't fix anything. Even when there is no bonus, meaning each player has cleared it before. There are still too many players that don't know what they are doing.

In the end, you will get what you want, but still find something to whine about, use your friend-list, add competent players or join a FC focused on raiding, trials in general.

The tools are already in-game for you to avoid incompetent players, giving you another will make little difference.

More options to fine tune PFs the way you want it is always a good idea.

I support this idea and many more that may allow people of different playstyles to group with ones with similar views/goals.

    This idea is purely good.

I don't think people who have not cleared are incapable of beating the content, obviously. It's very possible that someone who has never cleared before / has new player bonus could well be better than a player who has cleared one time and can link the drop they got lucky enough to win (Gods know I've carried enough corpses through Rav-ex.)

However, I do think people that -have- the clear are more likely to know the fight and not make the basic/novice mistakes. Note that I say 'More likely', as you at least have experience through the clear.

I hate when we make a Clear/Semi-Learning and people who haven't even seen Gana phase join the party, haven't watched the movie, etc etc.

I'd of kicked you right out the gate. Especially if you don't say it until we enter. Sorry - if you lack the integrity to say it out the gate before we get in, you're not welcomed in my parties. It's just how I tend to handle things.

This is honestly the major issue I have with people in PF. When they lie and join and don't say anything 'until it's too late', they eat up a slot and rob you of the decision. They try to strongarm you into bringing them along.

I'm not going to allow it if there's a lack of honesty and transparency. Someone with enough decency to send a tell, however, potentially will be welcomed after review with the party.

    On the note of the OP;

Yes, an option to block first timers from Party Finder is perfectly fine, as long as it's a clickable option as suggested. I pray SE never has us 'unlock' party finder options for clearing, as that will hurt our ability to do PF for specific things (And let's be fair - we'll just select 'Read Comment' in those cases.)
