You are wrong the thread is miss leading from the start and yeah I am debating on that option and the flaws but I have came to decision to stay out of threads like these.

Because people tend to follow each other turn a blind eye scim over things people say the forums are bad much, I like WoW forums best least they can give a good conversation nobody is afraid to speak their mind.

I am done with forums completely focusing on game now peace.

You haven't debated anything. And that you are still hung up on the title shows that you don't even care to try. What "good" conversation did you try to initiate, please stop playing the victim. For starters, you could at least explain your comment that this option is useless.
That it can be used to weed out players who crash farm parties for a clear in itself show that it has a use.

I mean I'll post this again, I in no way meant for the title to be misleading or baiting, I simply use my phone for the Forums, was kind of mad after the situation and wrote what came to the top of my head as the title. As soon as I posted the and read it back I realised it was misleading and apologised. I have tried changing it. I have tried requesting a change. Others have requested a change. I have added an apology in red letters at the beginning of the thread.

So again, apologies for the title, but if anyone else brings it up in form of argument you will be ignored. There is nothing more I can do about it and if you actually read the thread you will understand the title does not convey my point.

It would really be nice if the forum admins/mods would change titles at request, I have seen several good threads go the way of the dodo, due to poorly phrased titles. For some reason they seem to be against it.

Maybe edit first post again to make the red letters as big as possible? That way even people with poor eye vision might see it better.

Probably an investment vs reward issue tbh.

Considering it's more of an annoying QoL issue and less of technical problem then it likly wouldn't be worth the time and man power it would require to moderate the forums and sort through the requests.

I am kind of saddened by how impatient and unfriendly the NA servers and player base can be. If anything SE should make it so you cant DF until you have 2-3 clears of said content and making PF more in-line to how the Japanese use it for learning and helping each other out. SE said they were gonna implement a "phase selector" option based on which phase you make it to so you can skip right to the phase that is currently giving you trouble (great idea really). The can make it so any content accessed through PF gives no loot/reward (just one idea) and the sole purpose is to learn the fights and after acquiring a certain amount of wins in the content you can access it via DF and get the rewards.

It is funny how the NA community whines about end game dying and then when it comes to actual end game or most content the same whiners refuse to help the community at large.. at least that is what I have come across.

So while I do agree that if you make a farm party and make big headlines in the PF "FARMING, HAVE MULTIPLE CLEARS, NO NEW COMERS" you shouldn't expect newcomers... I still sympathise with newcomers because that is the only way they get to experience the content since no one else is willing to help. The mentality is too much "me me MEEEEE".

But I have seen several PF where they ask you to send a tell if you have no clear but know they fight. That way they at least get the three strike rule and the group can help give some guidance.

Instead of locking these people out.. think of a way to help them out is what I think should be pursued.

I think that we as a group are behind this statement. I also don't think that an option like the one outlined in this thread opposes this line of reasoning. The fact of the matter is, right now, that the purpose is unclear. People see the the fight and they click the button without much caring about the description. The option would provide a completely clear message of the theme of the party which is really sadly lacking right now and provide a layer of protection against somebody that may not be as astute in their description reading.

Also, I've never had a problem starting up a clear party, and most of the time people who have cleared it will join for the fun of it. It's much, much easier to setup a clear party in the system right now then it is a farm party. There's not guesswork in it at all. Having and option to stem the tide of people who are abusing a playerbase has virtually no effect on this at all.
