My advice is keep an eye out for everything. Under good conditions the CT raids are easy and fun to heal, but if you get a group that doesn't dodge or screws up mechanics you may have to get ready to spam heals and raises.

Another thing is make sure to double check your stance, diurnal is usually our default as AST since regens are great. If your co-healer is a SCH, make sure to be diurnal sect, as our noct shields overwrite their galvanize and vice versa. Be the opposite of the other AST, since same stance asts will overwrite each others aspects. And if a WHM co healer, do it based on gear or personal preference. I like shielding if the other heals is a WHM, but our aspect regens stack on WHM regens.

And regarding the royal road thing (sorry on mobile, can't edit). My criteria is usually as follows:

Use Arrow and Balance when you get them in battle regardless of having enhanced/expanded/extended buff or not, spread if you can outside of battle, RR if you have a card on spread.

Bole is situational, does the tank need it mid fight? Big pulls? Is someone not dodging? Use if needed, spread for future use if you think something might happen, RR otherwise.

Spear I usually prioritize on myself if I need MP through luminiferous aether. Rarely spread it, RR if you don't think others will use self buffs soon.

Ewer and spire use as they come, unless you have expanded and only one needs mp/tp. Shuffle otherwise. If drawn again i'll let it drop if i want something more useful to extend/expand/enhance (start of fight usually drop it, can usually find someone to use it on halfway through a fight though).

Well I only managed to get through LoA last night due to lack of demand on doing the CT series and a strange glitch at the hour mark of the Syrcus Tower DF wait where it popped then someone backed out or cancelled then it popped again and another DPS cancelled and then the almost formed raid disappeared from DF on me leaving me and a FC friend alone in the queue. But it was probably for the best after how the first one went.

So, yes, for the most part two healers per alliance feels a bit like overkill for LoA (at least) and I was teamed with an exceptional AST, a good tank, a decent tank with 1/2 our DPS being lazy or maybe not paying much attention. Of course I had to drop on the first trash pull following my tank in as I got too close to what he was pulling. (And there went my confidence.) Got an Ascend quickly and was back into it and things went fairly smoothly from there on out. Had a derp moment with the pots as I chased the tank rather than stay and did not communicate to my co-healer that fact so we lost our pot the first time. (the rest of the raid was no better so I didn't feel too bad.) I dropped on Behemoth to the one where you need to hide behind the meteors because I wasn't paying attention and was trying to raise one of our DPS... Which led to being raised myself right into a Behemoth attack as there were tanks fighting over aggro and Behemoth was running around the room.

But other than that it was ok and a lot less crazy than I thought. I could tell fairly early on that it was going to be a difficult clear based on all the alliance chat going on and the failed mechanics. But if it wasn't for my awesome co-healer it would have gone a lot worse. ^_^ (I ended up wasting a couple of good Balance cards on a ninja that wanted to dance more than DPS before I noticed.)

Going to try for Syrcus and WoD tonight when I get home with a mental note to pay as much attention to the boss as I do the health of my party. ^_^

Generally speaking, even outside of CT... It's almost always a good idea to set the boss as focus target.

Right, so figured out how to use the focus target function and adjusted it so I could see it better. Why have I not known about that before? That would have helped even as a DPS keep track of the boss while squishing adds. Lol.

Anywho, finally managed to get ST to pop last night with my SCH friend and we go in expecting something similar to the previous run. Not even close. The raid wide DPS was way higher and we were even skipping phases on some of the bosses. Yay! Was iced in Scylla and died just as it wore off. I laughed as there was nothing I could do without a fire orb and from what I could see none had popped on my side of the battle. Raised and moved on. The entire raid went fairly smoothly even with a tank who had never one ST or read/watched anything on it before. I laughed during the final battle as the person closest to me (in another alliance) got the dark circle we need to stand on to avoid the big damage who then proceeded to run away from everyone thinking it was going to damage them and others. I derped thinking he would stop so I could get on and rather than spring across to someone who knew the mechanic but could not get on in time and died. Just silly and funny.

I'm looking forward to getting through WoD this weekend.

Anywho thank you all for your help, I really appreciate it and if anyone has any more advice please feel free to drop in and give some.
