hi all

i just got the ps4 version , i played it on pc first year at launch
i got a lvl 50 whitemage i loggede in and loggede out :-) there is no way in hell i ever gonna learn to play that one again with all those spells. so i thing maybe i should make a new one, but is it possible to send gill and stuff to an alt?

if so i deside to stay on this one and just make a new job, is there any place i can go on the web to see where i can lvl and so on.

hope you kind people can get me back on track am pretty much lost at the moment.
oh yes and can you recommend a job to be. i like it all beside tanking

Welcome back! I encourage you to keep the same character but start a new class. If you played at the 2010 launch, you'll need to play through the first ten levels as the class you are first. If you played at the 2013 launch, then you should have already unlocked the ability to start new classes by going to the corresponding guilds.

To answer your question about ways to transfer items to an alt, you either need someone you trust to trade the items or control of a free company of high enough rank to have access to the company chest.

As for guidance on where to go at what level, there's no shortage of such guides; just do a Google search and pick one. =)

As for job recommendations, just try what feels right; it's easy to switch among them. Personally, I'd recommend DPS if you feel no particular urge to heal.

The swap from PC tp Playstation was also odd for me and I can imagine it to be even harder if you have a long term break inbetween
I'd recommend you to still try your white mage... it was your first choice in the game, it cannot be utterly wrong imo.
As for choosing a new class... well totally depends on you...
Casters have to struggle to cast while dodging AoE so do bard/mch past 50. Easiest there is kinda smn as you can DoT up then move but a proper level 60 rotation eats all my focus after about an hour. Blackmage puts easy high numbers but also has a harsh rotation on level 60. Bard/Mch are lower on DPS.
Melee have always to dodge mechanics meant for tank and AoE that are directly at boss. You will need to keep positionals to keep DPS up. I think all 3 have a fast rotation and some skills you have to use in the right moment. I only have MNK on 60 yet and I still put acceptable numbers with my derpy button mashing.
For healers... theres white mage you fear atm because you return... dont be shy its the most healy class in the game atm. Astro (unlocked only past 2.55 though) is pretty similiar, has a shield option and you will want to learn to weave the cards to help your team. Scholar is the most DPSy healer as you can leave the healing to your fairy but as SMN you want a good pet control to keep it up... will have even more skills than WHM in total.
Then tanking. You say you dont want it. I feared it myself and now its my second main... try it learn fail then decide

You can always start with a new class to get used to the crossbars and then go back to whitemage.
