If they went in with "tuned" item level, I guarantee they could.
Everyone with A4S on farm did it under geared.
I just want a higher damage increase in various PLD skills to be uppar with War/Drk Reading this thread makes me want to retire PLD completely considering they can't get past AS3-4 even with STR accessories.
I'm sorry, but how do you know that healers in those groups don't dps out of habits, or just because they can?
Probably, fully geared in i210 now, tanks are taking far less damage, giving them even more time to dps, because they need to heal even less.
If they dpsed before because it was needed to win, now they may just do it because they want to end the fight faster, to do another one. The faster you do it, the better it is if you're farming.
I gave up on expecting tank/healer balance after SB.
I was just thinking that maybe one way to fix the lack of dps could be giving Shield Swipe a 6 (?) seconds vulnerability debuff. It could solve the dps problem on PLD without buffing their own dps (specially while in Sword Oath, as Shield Swipe is ideally activated when tanking, thus in Shield Oath), give them a somewhat more used raid utility, and fixing Shield Swipe being lackluster at the moment (it was supposed to be our ultimate lvl 50 skill). It would also give some use to our shield (and to block), the defining trait of the PLD.
The only problem that I see with that is magic damage not being blocked, but oh well...

My complaint with PLD is how boring it is. I don't do savage content so I can't comment on the dps debate, but when running Expert Roulettes I almost fall into a trance just doing my basic rotation. By comparison I'm leveling up WRD and I'm only at lvl 42 but it's already more interesting to play.
nothing outside of personal preference imo. Except its rotation is bring to me and its defensive utility needs to be more party-centric. When I first saw Shelltron in the HW benchmark trailer I was excited as it looked like he blocked a magic move but man was I wrong. They need to fix Clemency's mp cost and give a shorter cooldown on some skills like Tempered Will and Divine Veil which I feel are too long for the effect they provide. They also need to change Cover to block all damage or change the name to Deflect which is really what it does. Deflect physical damage but still lets magic go through.
Also they really need to change the effect of Hallowed Ground to start at the beginning of the animation instead of at the end. Nothing pisses me off more than using HG and dying because I was in the middle of the animation.
