Even if a couple of percentage points have been knocked off, it still shows that the 50 potency attack is more helpful than it looks.

Alot of players here think that SwO's 50pot is lackluster while it is actually pretty damn strong, you can view it as an 50pot DoT tick every time AA hits(faster sword means more "ticks"). You can test that in dummy pretty easily, just AA dummy then plus both damages and suddenly you can see up to 800-1k AA hits and more if there are crits. Its the ShO that could use DPS boost not SwO imo.

They have always had problems that weren't addressed but were largely ignored because there were only two tanks and content was still largely physical damage focused. We now have Drk and content that uses mostly magic damage and high dps requirements, PLDs are in a really bad spot because of SE failing to consider how a pld would fare in this enviroment. The blame rests squarely on their shoulders and their refusal to acknowledge something is seriously wrong.

Drk also has some pretty glaring issues but savage has made them useful for their magic defense and higher mt dps, war is the only tank class that is pretty much perfect right now.

Still no mention of PLD QoL changes. Happy for NIN but this PLD will be sitting on the back burner for another month it seems. :/

As far as I know, Savage was NOT created with Healer DPS in mind, and maybe no one expected WAR to pull that much DPS.
That said, yes, PLD now are just kind of a weight in Savage, since (and I talk as a raiding SCH), there's no problem healing the other two tanks if they know how to mitigate a tank buster (eg using Inner Beast at the right moment), and those other tanks can help with DPS checks in ways PLD can't.
Hell, there was that glorious time a tankbuster did 0 damage on the DRK, because I used virus and the Machinist used Rend Mind, and we're usually on max 6000 damage on DRK and max 10k on WAR, and that's even almost too easy for healers.

considering you can't even get close to the required dps without healers dps in i200-210, it's pretty much obvious that savahe was created with healer dps in mind. Especially after the FCOB

I'm honestly pretty certain the gear ballpark for Savage completion was around 200. They did not expect us to be in there, killing things, without having most slots in Esoterics.

for AS1 and AS2 maybe, but I'm pretty confident on the fact that you can't pass AS3 without healer's dps.

It's just a sign you are undergeared, assuming you know what you're doing. It's obvious that the devs didn't want most of us beating it soon. Also, there's a damage debuff that makes anyone stuck with it deal 95% less damage in A3S, and the healers are the best candidates to slap them on, MEANING if you are so reliant on their damage before, then get ready to fail a lot.

You should not EVER need healer DPS. Unless obviously there's a DPS or die moment like Odin's final attack.
It's also why paladins get it worse here. Staying alive isn't the big bad issue, DPS is. So these nuts will do (almost) ANYTHING to boost DPS, even if it means rolling with a Warrior, 6 Dragoons and a Scholar, using only the fairy to heal, IF they could get away with it. lol

I'd be amazed even if one of the big groups with AS4 on farm could pass AS3 without any healer dps. Seriously.

If SE has learnt anything from FCoB, it's that healer dps is a thing.
