During the opener A7s boss would randomly aoe target 2 players u need to move out Asap. The aoes are huge and they pulse twice.

It is roughly 2casts into the opener and the aoes could spawn under u.

I'm applying hot shot without gauss barrel to save sometime, then gauss barrel on for the rest of the opener. Gives more time to have at least slug shot proc to move around in case u get the stupid aoes.

So how are you guys spending your first four weeks of Lore tomes?

Are you going straight for the boots/ring/other crit/det pieces first? Or are you getting chest/legs first for the Dex bump, and then crit/det pieces?

This is what I did,

Buy 220 crafted helm and wrist (crit det). Since the prototype and lore helm are especially poorly itemized (acc sks), it's a good investment.

Week 1: chain bolt spring spring
Week 2: bolt bolt spring spring + lore body (that's this week) http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/SU51

Week 4: 220+ everywhere and don't need Midas N any more

My reason for Lore ring on week 3 is that
1. It's crit/det
2. It's the last 210 piece left to upgrade (Gordian Ring of Aiming)
3. Some of the other left side Lore pieces are decent (like boots), but I'll have just got prototype gear in that slot so it's a waste to upgrade the same slot twice in one week - at least get one week of use out of it before you overwrite that slot again.

Can't speculate on Week 4+ spending yet since drops from A5S/A6S might change your gearing path due to caps and stuff, so it's a "Figure it out when you get there" kind of thing.

my idea of bis with the current jp reported acc caps for a8s (723 front 713 flank). i did my melds on the basis of acc to cap on det slots>crit>det, and 12 det>9 crit.

can drop pipira for steamed staff+change up 1 det meld to acc if preferred.

funny fact: you can go either midan chest+midan pants or lore chest+lore pants, and get the same exact stats either way.

alternative with midan chest, lore pants. very high sksp, though.

Rip opener for a8s. Need to save CDs for the stupid pentacle shortly after starting the fight.

I might delay the first wildfire after the pentacle. such a dps sink.

Hmmm. It's very similar to Qarn normal mode where u get jailed and must dps a nail. In a8s it's a pentacle that needs to die asap. (Burst dps).

So the fight start. Ground aoes, mega beam then it's pentacle burst. each dps takes a pentacle. If u blow ur CDs in the opener u won't have time to kill the pentacle, and If u fail to do so. It's a wipe. And u can't get help from anyone as only 1 person can dps a pentacle.

The way i do A5S is i just simple use my Wildfire combo everytime its off cds because i have noticed mostly every RS Wildfire he will be small (except for the pull ofc) so my dps doesn't drop that hard but my record is 1.265 dps on A5S. So maybe there is a better way.
