No don't save ANYTHING.
Unless it will be a very short fight. Like enough for you to get 2 WFs, then it's better to save.

Cool, thanks. Guess I need to rearrange some hotbars lol
If us use this macro:
/micon "Rook Autoturret"
/ac "Rook Autoturret" <t>
It will cast the rook directly at the enemies feet without the need to press the skill, move the reticle and then left click. It cuts out all that middle poodoo and just throws the turret at the enemy like a monkey throwing feces. Hope this helps. :3
I haven't tried that macro myself, but personally I'd make sure I still have my normal turret on the hotbars if I used it - which kind of defeats the purpose for me.
Reason being there are many instances where you don't want the turret to be at your target's feet. In A6S and A8S for example if the turret is under the boss, it's going to get cleaved and 1shotted by every tankbuster. Even though pets are supposed to be immune to these kinds of things, invariably the programmers screw up and forget a few things like that every tier.
It's an interesting macro though, I really hate dealing with targeting reticless as well and it's my biggest beef with BRD (flaming arrow).
I'm new to MCH as well and thanks for showing your crossbar setup. I'd love to see some others as well for variety!Since you asked so nicely. There are a couple things I might move around, but I don't play MCH much so meh. You may notice I don't have potions, LB, etc there....I use hotbar 8 and the L2+R2 to call up that hotbar. In addition, I try to keep things in the same place(s) as my BRD hotbars, to reinforce muscle memory.
Macros are for setting Rook underneath me and setting Bishop underneath a targetted mob, respectively.

Specific question about yours... wouldn't you want to have two macros for each turret though? One that sets the rook next to you and another that sets it next to the enemy? Just thinking about it for when you want to promote/demote quickly.
Hey everyone, i got some confusion about the openers. Generally is it not worth to go for a 5 ammo openers? People seem to go for the 2 Ammo openers, or when they have 5 ammo just clip reload with some ammo left - is it not worth it to first use up all 5 ammo and then reload?
Secondly, somewhat related, due to using reload before wildfire there is quite a big time gap between the buffs used pre pull and the wildfire window, which causes the buffs to fall off before WF ends and also desyncs their CDs for further WFs. Is it not beneficial to use WF earlier and am i supposed to hold HE (and B4B) till WF comes off CD or use it straight away?
5 ammo is worth it in that, naturally, you get more GCDs into your opener with that +20 potency bonus. The downside is it can make cooldown lineup a bit weirder down the line, 2 ammo (or less) feels a bit more natural, to me at least. I'll be honest, despite maining MCH I've never really questioned why some guides say "use 2 ammo opener for this / use 5 ammo opener for that", even though I don't see much difference.Hey everyone, i got some confusion about the openers. As for the second question, always use B4B and HE together, and always use them so they're up for Wildfire. For Reload, you don't have to save it for WF, just make sure you're not using it at a time which would make you spend ammo on Hot / Lead.
Something that might help is the sacred "30 second rule" MCHs have developed, which helps all cooldown alignment feel a lot smoother. Because Hot/Lead last 30s and you always use them back to back (generally), and every major cooldown is a multiple of 30, you can align things in relation to your Hot/Lead timers.
In an uninterrupted dummy situation, your Wildfires will go:
(HC = Hypercharge, RRR = Reload/Ricochet/Reassemble, bold = Wildfire)
0:00 Hot/Lead, HE, B4B, RS, HC, RRR
0:30 Hot/Lead
1:00 Hot/Lead, RRR
1:30 Hot/Lead, HE, B4B
2:00 Hot/Lead, HC, RRR
2:30 Hot/Lead
3:00 Hot/Lead, HE, B4B, RS, RRR
3:30 Hot/Lead
4:00 Hot/Lead, HC, RRR
4:30 Hot/Lead, HE, B4B
5:00 Hot/Lead, RRR
5:30 Hot/Lead
6:00 Hot/Lead, HE, B4B, RS, HC, RRR <- all buffs reallign here (mainly Hypercharge not quite fitting)
etc etc
Hope this helps!

Deciding between 2-ammo and 5-ammo depends on the encounter and whether or not Reload gets misaligned from your other cooldowns (i.e. Reassemble) later in the fight. In general, use 2 ammo opener since that means easier buff alignment. However 5 ammo opener is good for when you discover that you have to hold CDs because of phase changes/burst DPS checks. I use 2 ammo for A5S/A6S and 5 ammo for A7S/A8S.Hey everyone, i got some confusion about the openers. Generally is it not worth to go for a 5 ammo openers? HE/B4B is every 90s; Wildfire is every 90s. As long as you do Hot Shot/Lead Shot every 30s, you should be aligned. Every 90s, it will involve (HE/B4B) > Hot Shot > Lead Shot > (Wildfire just coming off CD) Split Shot > Wildfire.
Fried popoto enthusiast.
