If you are not clearing A7S any time soon and relic is just around the corner for you, sure you can put it towards other lore gear and get the relic gun. The upgrade to the ilvl240 gun is the obvious choice if you are close to that point.

    Oh yes, if you have access to a gobdip then it's a foregone conclusion. I mean, I'd have thought A7S capable groups would already have gotten their base lore weapon long ago from A6S directly.

    The i230 anima vs i230 lore comparison is more for middling statics like mine that are still clearing A6S - since next week is finally when everyone (else) will get to buy the i230 weapon with the 7x midan gears.
