Random question but how do people feel about the 240 Midan Ring vs the 230 Primal Ring in our BIS lists? The reason I mention the 230 version is because presumably you can wear both the 240 and 230 version at the same time - you just need to upgrade the one you have first, so you don't get the 'no duplicate items' error when buying.

Assuming we can get by without the acc (flank cap seems pretty low this tier, A8S frontal is 705 or so), it seems like a pretty close call - 34crit 47det vs 5dex 35acc 51sks

You'd definitely want to go that route. Probably a solid 5 DEX worth of stats.

the difference either way iirc is around 0.5 dex towards i230 ring if the acc is low enough to support it

here's what i'd probably use for bis flank with midan ring

then this is what it'd look like if you swapped midan ring out with i230 ring

you'd use pipira instead of staff, and replace a det V materia with acc V, putting you at 691 acc.



if 691 is enough for flank, it becomes

31 crit 35 det vs 5 dex 67 sksp

which, with the jp weights is 12.6 vs 12.102

if 691 acc is not enough for flank and you have to put another acc V in, then it becomes 31 crit 23 det vs 5 dex 67 sksp; 10.512 vs 12.102.
