It doesn't effect attack speed of the turret? I thought SE fixed that so pets were affected by SS? That does hurt the build a bit, but your turret only does like 15% of your dmg compared to like MNK or DRG where your AA is closer to 20-35% (DRG closer to 20-25 and MNK closer to 30-35)

Summoners, sure. Nothing about turrets though from what I've seen. Skill speed is not in affect for a period of time because of rapid fire, and you only have one DoT. On top of that, SS only realy speeds up your weaponskill usage, and MCH's sustained doesn't leave much to build around. It's something that has less of an effect on wildfire (because of rapid fire) versus crit and det that has an effect across board, including wildfire and reassemble.

I think its possible to get the SS to get another attack off in Wildfire. Pretty sure at the SS I am at now, if I get the last proc on Slug Shot then the Clean Shot will get in, but if I don't get the proc, Split Shot might not.

Other than that yeah I would have to agree with your points. That said, I think SS is more valuable to Mch than it is Brds, and Dervy's new stat weights have Brds valuing SS more than Det.

I think Mch is very similar to Blm when it comes to Skillspeed/Spellspeed.

• Mch and Blm both don't have AA (Minus the Turret, which is the biggest limiter on how effective SS for Mch right now IMHO)
• Getting another attack in a HyperCharge/Wildfire/Raging/B4B/Hawk and even another Split/slug/clean in between Hot shots seems like it would be a big boost
• Being able to get a cast off while dodging an AoE / Doing a Mechanic is a huge DPS increase over not getting the cast off at all

I will say that Mch's SS will never be as valuable as Blm's SS with the way both classes stand now. But I think there is a case to be had that maybe Mch's Skill Speed is more valuable than its Determination, which is what I based the build on. (High Crit > High SS > Low Det).

It's actually the opposite; SS is more valuable on BRD because they have more abilities that are affected by SS, including empyreal arrow getting a cooldown reduction based on SS. MCH has less abilties and mechanics that benefit around SS (from the turrets to rapid fire). The entirty of their dps also comes from their own weaponskills, and not an auto attack or otherwise a source that isn't affected by SS. I'm a bit confused on how you came across this when you just acknowledged that MCH doesn't benefit a whole lot from SS.
