The good ranges of skill speed that give u good hotshot/lead shot timing is below 500ss or above 700ss. That's what aiurily tested before. So with ss you just want to avoid having ss between 500-700ss

My issue with skillspeed is that its effect on dps is a lot more nuanced than our other stats. The only source of damage we have that scales smoothly with more skillspeed is our single DoT - Lead Shot.
Putting DoTs aside, the damage increase from skillspeed manifests as more getting more casts out over the same time period. The issue with that is while it may hold true for an ideal scenario where you hit a target dummy for 10 minutes continuously, the more a fight deviates from that ideal with phase changes and jumps, the more uncertain the gains you get from skillspeed become.
Consider the situation where you have 10 seconds to fire weaponskills at the boss before it goes untargetable. With a GCD of 2.5 seconds you get can 5 attacks in. If you had enough skillspeed to lower your GCD to 2.4 seconds for example, you would still only get 5 attacks in, as you would be 2.1 seconds away from your 6th attack by the time the boss disappears - in this specific case, the value of the skillspeed on your gear is zero.
Of course sometimes the timing is favourable and you get an extra attck in - so you can see that the effect of skillspeed in such cases is not smooth but granular, sometimes it does nothing, sometimes you get an additional attack. I don't think it's as simple as just specifying a rule like "Above X is bad" or something, as in practice every fight is going to have extremely specific differences.
This also doesn't mean that a hypothetical target dummy fight is going to favour skillspeed either. It just means that in that case it will perform as advertised - but it can only start to underperform in practice. So personally the way I see it, we have no compelling reason to value it like BLMs or BRDs, we're not breakpoint dependent like DRGs, and we have a ton of single-use OGCDs that get no benefit from skillspeed entirely, so I just prefer to avoid it at all costs.

Okay. I have a MCh scripture buying question. I just bought the chest piece, and Im not sure if I should save for the pants, or get like a ring. my static got as10 to 20% this week, so i think we'll clear next week, so I may get a coat. Is it more of a dps gain to maybe upgrade a 260 jewelry piece, as opposed to saving for the pants by waiting aonther week? Thanks for the advice. I just switched to MCh last week, lol.

Lanelle the pants aren't that great to be honest. I would get the bracelet (first if you don't want to run into accuracy issues). Then get the rings.

Some Crit melds can be replaced with Acc if needed.

Yeah, balancing accuracy this tier while collecting gear seems to be quite tough. I'm currently at a perfect 705, but with the intention to get either the Proto-Alex head or Shire gloves on reset, I've gotta use the Midan Ring to make up lost accuracy for now....even after that, in order to keep upgrading I'd have to rely on iffy accessories with Acc+Speed combos, but guess it can't be helped. Even A9S drops don't seem to provide much remedy. This is assuming dipping into 250 crafted isn't much of a monetary option for you, which is my case x_x

Is it worth getting the shire weapon or keeping the sophia ex one?

Shire is absolutely garbage. Stick with Sophie and get the chest piece instead. It's a better investment of scripture.
Chest bracelet and rings.
The weapon is the last thing i'm going for.. IF ever.

Going by stat weights, Shire is better than Sophic. The upcoming Kinna Palace of the Dead weapon will be a good alternative to Shire until you can upgrade Shire or clear A12S.
