    and I find it rather interesting that doing your aoes + lead shot + hot shot does more dps than single target rotations on 2-3 enemies in dungeon. This is the only range job i've taken seriously so maybe this shouldn't be all that surprising.

    Warrior is my main, but the complexity and excitement of MCH seems like something I might want to seriously consider. Especially since no one is giving them much love :/

    I love the aesthetics of the machinist job but its complexity kinda worries me. My main is scholar but my secondary is dragoon and I think I'm not too bad at it. I know the rotation well and do good dps. Compared to dragoon, is machinist really hard? I'm not really used to reacting to unforeseen events on dragoon since the only rng bit would be deciding if I should use Wheeling Thrust or Fang & Claw depending on the proc and from what I've seen machinist relies A LOT on procs. Is there someone who plays both and could put them in perspective?

    mch has a moderate learning curve once you start, but sort of smooths out to be fairly easy. procs are pretty comparable to fang & claw/wheeling thrust if you don't have ammo.

    the gcd rotation is simple. keep hotshot dmg buff up, keep leadshot dot up, 1-2-3 as procs allow. oGCD management is the bulk of the learning, but it's not very difficult to do it correctly

    if you go find a parse video and follow how someone does their oGCD management you can learn most of it pretty easily simply by mimicking it.

    Hi guys! So right now i was compareing the bis with the new void gear, and am i right if i wear all void gear in replacement of the gordian one until i get it or is it better to upgrade all eso to 210 with hunts and void tokens?

    Looking at the void gear, if all you have access to is the 200 or 210 esos, you can build a specific set out of that (though all 210 gear will usually be better than a mix of 200 and 210)

    Guys, does anyone have any tip for the Thordan ex fight? Mostly about cooldown management, I always feel I end up with weird cooldown timers. Should I ignore cooldowns on the guy before the divebombs so I can burst sword phase, or should I use cooldowns even if wildfire won't go off? -cries-

    full opener at the start. xpot+rs+everything else.

    2nd reload/rico/reassemble - on CD if it comes up in first phase. you will unlikely use all of your ammo; but you can keep storing ammo with QR for the lone knight dps check while you do the megaflare pillar+holy chains. if you push first phase with really high dps (all i210 etc) these skills won't be off cd before phase change, but otherwise, you can get a bit of extra dps here

    next reload/rico/reassemble+2nd wildfire rotation (he bfb rf etc) after knight divebombs. make sure you're hitting the sword oath knight with wildfire. i do hotshot->leadshot 1 knight->leadshot other knight->quick reload+split shot->pop cds (reload, bfb, he) while waiting for sword oath knight->wildfire rotation

    next reload/rico/reassemble during meteor/skyfall/ST circles phase

    full opener on last phase (reload rico reassemble xpot rs hf bfb rf etc) then from there it's pretty simple since you have near 100% uptime.

    Hello! Long time dragoon that might be switching to mch to help out our group. Only 55 but reading ahead. Can I ask what the reason for two ammo preload? Unless I am missing something,* they don't appear to have an effect on Hot Shot or Lead Shot.

    Ammo does add 20 potency to Hot Shot and Lead Shot's initial hit. It's not much, but hey it's better than nothing and not much trouble to do anyway.
