    Question: Why is the SMN book a 2h weapon, yet she always uses 1 hand to hold it?

    gamplay mechanics mostly

    Also, it would be hard for SMN/SCH to do their casting animation with no hands free.

    They should take notes from Ast, they are practically hands free.
