[Recruitment / Linkshell] LF new / returning players for Coil and Ex Primals!

Hi everyone!

With the release of Heavenward, we've had a sizable number of new and returning players who have gone straight to HW content and as such, many of these players who wish to clear the older raids and EX Primals have had difficulty getting people together to do so.

As raid content is hardly puggable due to its intensely mechanical nature, I've decided to launch this linkshell to gather players who either wish to:

- Clear any of the old coil turns (The Binding/Second/Final Coil of Bahamut)
- Clear any of the EX primals
- Help any of the above players clear content!

Last but not least, do share the news of this linkshell with your FC friends, and spread the love! I hope we can do more than what our FCs can provide in terms of manpower for old content, so do not hesitate to promote it either! Thank you all very much!

UPDATE #3: Rules and Guidelines
I really did not want to put this up because I believe in freedom of action and speech in-game as long as it's within the ToS, but due to a few one-off incidents in the linkshell that I would like to prevent repeats of, I have drafted a set of rules and guidelines for those who have joined and those who intend to join this linkshell.


*** RULES: ***

1. Do not call for "pony farms" or join them to get carried for free for your first clear.

The above has happened twice. Players come in and ride for free through uncleared content by joining farm parties. If you fail to make your intentions clear and any of us spot the clear achievement, you will be booted with no warning given.
If you want to clear a particular run, do not be shy. Call for a run and ask for help. We've helped countless members clear content this way in the past few days, more to come. Speak up! We don't bite. =)

2. No toxic comments.

Recently I kicked a passive-aggressive player for trash talking; in particular he joins learning parties and trash talks about me every single time, in party and linkshell chat. The player has been kicked and blacklisted by myself without warning.
I'm sorry to say that if you thought you were being funny, you were probably not as people see it as douche behaviour.

3. Mumble and Discord will be open to all linkshell members and their party members in any of their Coil or Primal runs, even if their current party members are not in the linkshell.

No further permission necessary. =)



*** Guidelines: ***

1. The main purpose of this linkshell is to help new or returning players clear old content. Primarily the players we need are helpers (those that have cleared) and learners (those that have yet to clear).

2. Undersized farms: Allowed and not discouraged; however, if you are neither a helper or a learner, and you do not engage in any activity other than undersized farms or farms in general, you will have low priority in the linkshell when it comes to clearance.

3. Clearance: The linkshell has hit 100 over players in 6 - 7 days. There is a hard cap of 128 players per linkshell.
If there is a need to remove inactive players to allow room for others, note that players who only do farms and players of total silence will have to make way for the learners and helpers.

4. A few of the active helpers in the linkshell have been given leader status, and will be given autonomy to invite and kick players from the linkshell. (temporarily suspended due to linkshell capacity being full) If you feel that you've been wrongly removed, look me up in-game, or drop a message in the Discord text wall.

5. Singlish. I understand that there are quite a few Singaporean players in the linkshell, but please do not flood the linkshell with "ya lor hor meh", and try to keep the english as neutral as possible. Just do it in party chat. =)

6. Undersized vs Synced: Personally, I do not consider undersized clears as legit clears. That is a view that is shared by quite a handful of us as well. Many of us helpers are more than willing to teach the entire fight through comms and be your free callers for phase changes and such, but please show some understanding if any of us refuse to "carry" you undersized as a first timer. I leave it to the discretion of each individual player on whether or not they would like to carry, but do not expect help by default if you are asking for a first-time undersized clear, it is not within the scope of our linkshell.

Notes for learning players:

1. Before you call for help for an uncleared run, please make an effort to watch the video. Search "MTQ <insert primal/raid name here>" in YouTube. (Shoutout to Mizzteq for all the FFXIV guides!) If there are any parts that you do not understand, ask on party chat and we will clarify. Or we could just get to that phase and wipe for you to see it. =)

2. Most of our helpers are experienced in calling boss attacks and phase changes, however that requires you to be on comms. Do at least install mumble and discord before asking for runs, to cut down on waiting time.

3. Even if you do not have a microphone, it is still highly recommended to listen in on comms for unfamiliar fights, as it's nigh impossible to warn of incoming attacks on chat while playing.

We are currently full, however if you still have interest in joining, just pm me ingame; I will send you a friend request and let you know when we have space available. If not I can ask the linkshell for a run on you behalf if it's for coil.

We are not accepting any pony farmers, undersized farmers etc any longer. You have Party Finder for that purpose.
Current linkshell members take note: if you have no interest in helping / starting any coil / primal runs synced and you do not intend to do any coil in the upcoming days, you will be removed for to make space for players who need coil / primals clears.
