which does more dps? I have drg at 60, and monk around 57 ish. I want to dps because I am tired of tanking or healing and it seems like monk is harder to play but maybe puts out more dps?
I want to look badass and not be useless basically.

MNK does higher personal DPS iirc, but DRG brings Battle Litany + Disembowel so DRG provides more raid DPS. I'd say play whichever you find more fun, though.
I personally felt like MNK was easier to get the hang of.
DRG more valuable in end-game content. MNK more personal DPS. Both look badass.
That's basically your options.
They don't play anything a like... play the one you like. Best job is subject to change every patch while which job you like best probably wont change much.
MNK brings more personal dps and defensive CD Mantra, DRG is slightly lower in personal DPS compared to MNK but brings Battle Litany which effects the whole raid DPS.
Both are solid choices. As others have already said, pick the one you like the most.
Currently in the end game meta though, it's worth noticing that DRG is in a more desirable spot since they provide an overall higher DPS contribution for the group.
MNK brings some utility in the form of a stronger (traited) Mantra with a slightly higher single target dps, however it's still lower than what a DRG can provide to the raid in the form of Battle Litany and Disembowel.
ok, and on an unrelated topic, just to avoid creating another thread..
which is the more desired support? bard or mch
