Why is glam quest level 50 and not like 15?

Lv 50 is not the top. It is now mid game.
And dyes are cheap and can't used on dungeon gear

Racial armor looks way better than most/all pre 30 gear, just as an example.

There is still the cost.
A new lv15-30 player don't earn enough gil to glamour everytime his gear new after everytime he get new gear.

Letting new accounts glamour stuff like the thav bustier or spring dress is only going to promote RMT in a major way, due to the gil prices involved. Path of least resistance.

*looks at bazillion other MMOs that let you access costuming at level 1, or from a very low level* ... Riiiiight. It's no one's business but the player what they "waste" their time on in a video game.

You seem to miss my point. Ok, you begin the game for the first time. Lvl 1, you get a mount, you get glamour, you get all metallic dyes, you get a house , everything you get as a reward for leveling up is instead just handed to you. Now you see the point? If things are just given right at the start, then there is nothing to work towards.

I get all of that in Rift. In WS I get all of that by level 14. Last I checked, people still have lots to work toward.

Glamour isn't something the game has to offer? I'm pretty sure a glamour system and glamour items exist in the game, and are there for people's enjoyment.

1. there is not many gear lv 1-15 a new player can use or buy for glamour
2. it give a new player anticipation to reach first time lv 50
3. it give players time to learn how to earn gil before wasting it.
4. the time between new gears is at lv 15 much lower than at lv 50

But this isnt life..it is a pretend world.

I never seen the reason behind it, it certainly was not the lure to level a 50...I wasted far more gil on pets then glamour would have ever cost.
I hated looking the way I did along the way, which again didn't encourage me to level, it actually turned me off of it for a long time lol

We all see things differently though. That's cool, everyones opinion is just that, an opinion.

If they ever decided to lower it (which they wont though..it is se afterall ^^) I would fully support it.
