    Saving Different UI Layout States

    First and foremost, for those who are wondering how to copy your UI layout between characters for PC, it's a matter of moving files around;

    Have you ever created a new character and see that the UI is just the default layout? Well you can quickly fix this on PC by carrying over your UI layout from another character.

    The question I have is, why wasn't there a more user friendly way created for swapping UI layouts?

    We already know players are really finicky with their UI layouts. If you've been to any of the conventions and played FFXIV at any of their stations, first thing you'll probably notice is time is given to everyone before they start a match. And almost everyone is moving around the UI around and re-sizing components.

    Having a way to more user friendly swap between UI layouts would not only solve the issue of players spending time to organize or copy the files themselves, but also allow players custom UI layouts for different resolutions they switch to.

    Have you ever switched between fullscreen to windowed mode, and find your layout all mucked up? Then spend the next several minutes fixing the UI so it isn't all cluttered. Then, to only have the same issue when switching back. This goes same for switching between PC to PS4, or simply playing on different devices or different monitors sizes.

    To piggyback off this, we need a way to save UI setups for different gearsets. I like my UI a certain way when I heal, and another way when I DPS/tank, but switching it everytime is awful.

    I agree this would be really helpful. Rift has an option to import UI settings - you can even pick which ones you want (e.g. action bars, chat, keybinds, positions, etc), or select all of them.
