Option to toggle off optional (non MSQ) quests

I'm an alta-holic and I have, at present, three additional characters I play with outside of my main character.

These characters are one-job wonders and will never complete 90% of the content in the game. They exist as a place for me to retreat away from my main character and the "must complete all the things" stance I have with her.

I would like the ability to hide all non main scenario quests. Put this as an option under Character Configuration, UI settings, General - "Toggle off optional quest markers." (That way, the odds of a new sprout finding by accident are low.) By keeping this as a toggle, we can de-clutter any quest markers when we're not actively looking to do quests, but turn it back on when it's time to find some NPCs.

Ideally, I'd like to see it as a list of what items we want to show or hide on the map (or mini-map), whether that's MSQ, side-quests, levemetes, shops, Triple Triad NPCs, etc. But yes, having the Main Scenario a separate option on that list from other quests would be nice. I could actually see quests alone being divided into about six categories:
• Main Scenario Quests
• Class/Job quests
• Daily repeatable quests
• Sidequests that unlock features or dungeons
• Seasonal or promotional event quests
• Other sidequests
(All perhaps under a heading for "Quests" that lets people check/uncheck all of them at once when they want)

I'd love this to be an option in the quest helper too. I usually have less than 5 quests, and not all are in the same zone. I wish I could hide certain quests in the helper.
