Add me to the list of people who will watch videos for EX Trials and things like Coil/Alex if it's been out for a while. Anything else I might read a write up or go in blind, depending on how quickly I get to the content - part of the fun is trying things yourself and figuring out what to do, but that does need to be balanced against other people's enjoyment once there's a good chance most of the people I'll be playing with have already cleared the content. They don't need me dragging them down.

I never go in completely blind. At the very least, I ask someone to take ~thirty seconds to explain each fight. Generally, this goes well, but occasionally, one of the following happens:

    A) Some twerp explodes at me for wasting his oh-so-precious time by not watching a video. (Seriously, why do people get so uptight about an extra two minutes? Does their ISP bill them by the second, or something?)
    B) My request for an explanation is ignored. I run in without a clue as to whether or not I'm supposed to be standing in the glowy circle, running from the glowy circle, or what. People usually die.

Consequently, I usually read a guide. If the guide is unclear/complex, I sometimes watch a video.

For EX fights and so-forth, however, I ALWAYS watch a video. At that point, there's not a whole lot of story to spoil, and if I don't know what I'm doing ahead of time, I'll be turned into a Chicken McNugget.

I never watch videos, because they confuse me more than if I went in blind. If it's a dungeon, I will go in blind. If its an 8 man trial/raid and it's already been out for a bit, I'll read about the abilities and mechanics, because I do better just taking in the info I need to know and working out the rest as I go along. Alex 4 judgement nisi? Didn't need to know about it as MT. Discoid? Definitely needed to know that I should save my cooldowns for that. I know what all the abilities do now after the first one or two times, but I do far better just reading what I need to know, rather than watching a video and filling my head with so much info that I end up confused.

Of course, I would rather go in blind and work it out, the most fun I had in 14 was the night Alex came out and a bunch of us got together to poke at it, not expecting to win but we worked out A1 and 2 that night without any guides or hints. If everyone else knows what to do though, I'll look at the basics so Im not holding other people back, especially if Im tanking or healing

I prefer to not watch them, the only time that I know what happens is when I need to read the tactics for a FC run, otherwise, I go in blind.

I used to, but now I only do so with the harder content and just wing it with dungeon content.

It's fine with me if people don't watch videos. I mean, I can see why that would "spoil" the game.

In that thought though, if you don't watch a video, but join a group and expect them to take 10 minutes to explain every nuance of the fight to you instead... Well, that's still spoiling it! lol... You get no extra kudos for that. :x
If you choose to go blind into a fight...do just that!

I'll explain dungeon bosses cause well, that takes like 30 seconds. But I do get a little annoyed when someone joins some long boss fight "farm" group and be like: "Tell me everything this boss does! Watching videos is for losers!"

I'm sorry, my characters name is not "You Tube".

Only if it's EX Primals or raids like Coil (or Alexander Savage, I guess, though I'm choosing not to touch that content). Otherwise I do the dungeons, HM Primal AND 24 man raid blind.

I don't really watch videos unless I fall way behind on content. I've never watched any videos for how to do coil/alex fights, but I did when I went through to clear Titan X and Ifrit. I find videos can be harmful because they can often be taken as gospel, which lead to the 'Ranged Only' mentality becoming incredibly prevalent while Garuda X was still new.

Questing is like participating in an Old Spice Commercial - Talk to me, talk to him, talk to me, talk to him, Now Talk To Me...Sadly, you are not done, back to him, look there, its that mob I never liked, back to me, back to him...I'm in the Waking Sands.

On day ONE of an expansion or patch, I'll do content blind before there's any guides. I enjoy it because everyone else in my team is (normally) blind too. Now sometimes I'll pug on day one, but most of the time I'm with friends or my static. When I go in blind, I don't ask for tips or a mini guides. I'll discuss mechanics or strategies if we wipe on something and sometimes even if we don't. Now if it's old content, I always watch a video or read a guide.

I don't mind if newbies do old content blind (along as they didn't join a PF for experienced players only). However I don't like when they expect people to type out mini guides for them and get aggressive if no one does. If you came in blind, DO IT BLIND. Isn't that the point?
