    Linking mobs.

    What supposed to be a brelliant idea, turned into another failure.

    I had a party last night when we went to kill Kobolds (lv.41) near Iron Lake. We were ~35.

    Since they are packed tight together gladiator pulled one of them and 4 linked.
    They raped us.
    We tried once again with the same result.

    We moved to raptor camp.
    The situation was the same.

    We went on lower level mobs, the exp was so low, that we decided to disband.

    This system is horrible and a total failure.

    So, you guys had a pretty big party, had you? Cause big party = big mob linking, thats just how it works

    yep, we had Full Party. but that's not an issue. the issue is, that this linking system made us unable to get reasonable exp.
    i'm no interested in staying at camp for 3h to get level up, because i'm getting 180exp/kill.

    reasonable would be same level +1 or +2, not +6 when you get 100% extra xp because mobs are linking.
    180xp per kill is normal, what you are talking about was PL (before patch) also, your xp doubles because of the chain.

    supposed you are right about exp, but pulling 5 mobs to the camp isn't fun.

    tried today Nanawa Mines leves.
    with full party there is no way to do this lower then on 2* because mobs linking all around.
    one aggro and we had all mobs in the tunnel on us.
    this system is a disaster.

    I thought this thread was about the fact that completely unrelated mobs of different species and ranks link. Like by Iron Lake, that one cave that sometimes has a raptor or 2 in it also has an 80ish Ahriman that believe it or not... links with the raptors.

    Besides random crap like that though it really isn't that bad. It was weird the first time but you kinda just adjust to it according to how your party is built. If you have the ability to AoE them and down them fast then do it like that. If you don't, sleep them. I'm not sure how it works in the 15-30ish range because I don't have anything that low though.

    Sounds like we are mad because the game isn't so easy.

    Sleep works. Paralysis works. Repose and Bind work. It's called use a different strategy. The game actually has some kind of difficulty and people are complaining because it's too hard. Adapt people or don't play at all.

    brotip : don't fight +6 mobs.

    Level 40 characters in a party fighting raptors (40-42) gives 400-700exp a kill. So I really doubt you are getting trash exp at 35, 37-38 mitelings should give 350-550 exp a kill on nophicas well.

    Do you know that if you send in just one person, and the mob being pulled doesn't detect the person's party members around him/her, they tend to not link or only produce 1 link?

    While doing levequest in Nanawa, I got the same problem with the room full of Yarzons, and that Yarzon would also call for help from a Coblyn that's walking around. My solution was leaving the rest of the party in a safe distance, but not too far because mobs you pull will try to run back to their territory, and have one person pull.
