TechnoTechie. If that's all you can say in a post where I'm trying to look for potential solutions is pathetic. Of course I'm angry. I leveled a role which was badly disadvantaged, even after a patch. How was I supposed to know. I cannot read minds.

All I see you do is dismiss others' suggestions and complain about how bad culinarian is, when it was the best before they buffed other classes. They didn't nerf culinarian, they simply buffed the other classes so that they had competitive gains in 3.05 -- so that they were getting the same value for the materials gathered. And I don't know about your server, but CUL materials are far cheaper on my server, and CUL crafts far more profitable. Why not use that higher profitability to purchase mats for red scrips? That's what I've done the past few weeks: sold CUL crafts and used that gil to fund my red scrips.
That being said, you don't need to create multiple threads complaining about the exact same thing and to say that you're "quitting the game until x is fixed" when it wasn't that broken to begin with, especially when I know you won't even consider a solution that's been working for me.

Pre-patch, Culinarian was by far the best way to get Red scrip. Now, it's merely on par: more but simpler and cheaper turn-ins.
If that, in a game, makes you ANGRY, then you perhaps are taking this game too seriously.
Or perhaps you are not taking it seriously enough, since you refuse to level other crafting classes.
The game is what SE says it is. It change when SE changes it. You know that going in. To expect any different is irrational. To get angry because they corrected an imbalance that heavily favored CUL is unjustified.
It's a game. If you aren't enjoying it, either change how you play or stop playing.

Your potential solution is level another god damned crafter so you can complain about -buying materials- instead of -crafting too much-

I pondered, and liked the idea of, special recipes that are asked for for red / blue scrips that, unlike the current system, would not require all those nasty, expensive, irritating secondary and tertiary required materials. Instead, these special recipes would only call for the use of the primary, level relevant material of that craft - birch lumber, adamantite ingots, morels, ect. for level 60. These would be used in balanced quantities so that no one craft comes ahead of another.
Such recipes would be something along the lines of Storm-Hardened Adamantite Ingot, Shrubbery of Morel, blah-blah-creativity-blah. Used only for scrip turn ins like the Beast Tribe crafting recipies were used for quest turn ins - only we have to gather (buy) the materials instead of being given them by those blessed Ixal.
Make up a better, flashy name for the special recipes - and boom, no more BSM going insane buying exorbitant amounts of glue or wood, no more CULs swearing and sweating doing 5x the crafts as their ALC counterparts.
When new tiers of Red / Blue? / Green / Indigo scrips are added, the devs come up with a few new recipes per craft and add them to the scrip crafting section al la Beast Tribe recipes.
End of story. Easy peasy.

I find the weekly cap for red scrips is way too low. It takes very little time to reach the cap. Then you are stuck waiting a week to get get more scrips.
I would like to see the weekly cap doubled.
Other than that, if you aren't leveling up all the crafting classes, you won't get anywhere.
