[dev] Allow us to summon our copanion when we want to solo for a while!

I was honestly sad when I figured out that my companion that I went through so much trouble of getting (I kept not getting the one I wanted in the selection xD) only shows up for short quests that are filled with cutscenes and doesn't get to do much of anything :S

I miss xi's customization of your companion, getting him/her upgraded for more time allowed, etc....

That was a nice side-thing to do when you were bored :S

Please allow me to summon my companion!

I've been asking this too...but i asked for retainers to do so...you paying an tax/hr and he staying outside fighting with you...as your employee he is supposed to elp you if paid properly.

About companions, i expect some major role at main plot so i woudn't they changing it just for us to be able to call it outside. I can feel the primal precense Ifrit felt is Bahamut and that it might be used later on (and bahamut IS bahamut...just like in FFXI, i'd rather it staying unaccessible by any ways to preserve its superiority). ^^

I want to be able to change my companion when I can't go into the Ward anymore as well (aka I don't have any main story quests.) =p

Be happy that you can't summon it for leveling.
During the quests he showed up, mine just stood around and did nothing while enemies were trying to beat me to pulp.

Yes! I wanted my companion to be my companion during soloing but I only see him during the main storyline quests! Too sad.
