Incorrect. The discrepancy is NOT time related, it's because they only counted ONE LIKE per voter. So if people liked more than one, only the LAST ONE THEY LIKED was counted to the end total.

If that is the case, and I'm not saying it isn't, then that kind of demonstrates how sloppy this contest was held and how hard it was as a voter to follow it. I was surprised to see that they put it on the forums and you just had to click a "like" button. I didn't "like" multiple posts so I didn't check it myself to be sure, but when I first came across the thread I had that thought that it was possible to "like" more than one post. I just assumed they would have disabled it or something. Really though, what forum doesn't have an actual poll function?

Actually, I'm thinking about it more and originally the winner was the winner. It wasn't until closer towards the end that the runner-up was in the lead. So if it was their most recent "like" then you would think that the runner-up would have more votes because it didn't start getting more "likes" until towards the end when it actually took first place by a decent amount. As I said though, if it is indeed how you said it was, then it's hard to follow it and be sure about that. However, most people had the impression that the runner-ups were the winners and that in itself effects the contest.
Well forgive me if I don't feel like congratulating winners of a failed voting system.Yes, people are open to be disgruntled, but it's common decency to still offer congratulations. So far at least half the posts here are to the tune of, "Why did they win instead of the other?" That's like saying she didn't deserve the gold cause she didn't stick the landing with both feet.
Is it their fault? No of course not. And I'm not blaming them.
But as long as the winner of this flawed system is questionable at best, no one is getting my congrats
If you think that's rude then that's fair, but that's my stance
Man I go to sleep/pass out from exhaustion for TEN HOURS and...wait, that's a long time huh. Anyway
This is exactly it. It's extremely rude. Regardless of how the contest was handled (which is to say, still poorly), the fact of the matter is other people still voted for those styles.Well forgive me if I don't feel like congratulating winners of a failed voting system.

You say it's not their fault, but you are essentially "blaming" them for winning via a flawed system. The only time this should happen is if there were clear ways to cheat (for example, voting without an account which would allow multiple votes from the same person. Since the forums only allow one account/service account, I sincerely doubt the winners have 2000 sock puppet accounts to inflate their own winnings here...). Don't like the hairstyles? Fine. I'm also probably not going to use them.
So yes you and everyone else acting like you are being extremely rude. Please stop.
