Huh. That doesn't make much sense. WTFast is a networking thing while FPS is a graphics thing. Totally different stuff, normally those two don't interfere with each other in any way. That is, as long as WTFast doesn't heavily impact your rig's performance. In that case you can't really do much else than cut back on load.

Anyway.

when I turn on V sync the problem is solved, UNTILL my fps drops below 56 (which happens quite often) and then I have the same stuttering fps lag.
Hard to believe your FPS would actually drop lower using VSync, at least with triple buffering you should experience less drops with VSync on. Gives GC more control and ressources to even out spikes. Also reduces workload BTW, which is what you might be aiming for.

Why would you do that? Both your monitor and your eyes can only process a certain number of images per second, don't have any advantage from high frames rates if you can't see them. And even 60 frames is usually enough to nullify input lag from that source.

Advice: if you can't really get it done with in-game setting, go NVidia Control Panel, set 3D settings to manual and experiment a bit with those settings there. Might yield some results. Give advance VSync options a chance.
