I'll make this easy for everyone. Final Fantasy XIV was designed with ease and accessibility in mind. Generally what that means is that it's going to be EASY and the only real sense of difficulty comes from artificial difficulty. Players make the dungeons and raids difficult, not the content itself. This, I think, is very sad. Personally, I don't feel justified paying $15 a month for a game that has one month worth of content out of a 3 month patch. This game is getting boring, dull, old, repetitive to the point that people are looking to fill their time elsewhere. I know Yoshi P made this game with the intention for players to pick up, play a few hours and do other things. That's fine, if we weren't paying for that time. In the last 3 weeks, I've logged on each day for 10min max a day. Something feels wrong about that. The content has very little, if any, replay value and the content gets replaced so fast, it makes anything that isn't current a waste of time.
