"Fixing" Roulette woudln't do anything, the design of Expert Roulette is not so much the "amount of option" it just allows you to cap Eso quicker and seriously, why complain when you can cap eso in 6 expert roulette runs compared to having to run a dungeon 12-13 times to cap if you didn't rely on roulette? People do honestly ignore that small aspect of it, so what if it isn't Roulette, it still saves you time overall.
When it comes to lv 50 dungeons though a thought did cross my mind that could perhaps invigorate doing those again, it would moreso be an idea for a 4-man based content that reuses older dungeons to create an "organic" journey of sorts that leads to unique content upon completing.
I'd call it "Jounrey Mode" it would be designed for 50+ however the last "dungeon/instance" would be lv 60 required to complete.
Think of it like, you are on a "journey" and the Journey brings you to:
CopperBell mines HM
Snowcloak
Hullbreaker Isle
You'd have to complete them in that order since the next dungeon wouldn't be revealed til you beat the previous one however there would be unique aspects to doing these dungeons. The "Journey" buff, which could be positive or negative or even neutral.
With that in mind "Journeys" would only be possible with people on the same server as you again it would be designed as a small FC based content so you have the above and the handicaps could be.
CopperBell mines (Poisonous Gas) Slowly lose Max HP so speed is key to complete *HP will only go down to 25% Max meaning you could lose 75% of your HP if you aren't fast enough
Snowcloak (Lunatic Howl) As you progress through dungeon periodically a party member may become confused and attack other members *Being mindful of other members status effects would be key in this and would even occur during boss encounters
Hullbreaker Isle (Heavy Rain) Status Ailments can't be cured through magic even if member is KOed, meaning that if a person is inflicted with a Status ailment it remains for the rest of the dungeon unless you carry medication to cure it.
Then after beating those 3 dungeons you would gain access to unique content that leads you to a final Destination to obtain unique gear etc etc. But basically the idea would be revitalizing older content in a way that doesn't add to much but just enough to reinvigorate challenge and keep players on their toes with a reward at the end that's worth it.
