Harvest Failure Rate

Just out of curiosity zzapp, was this rank 4 harvest node in Humblehearth? I noticed there is a specific node (where Sirrocco is) that has a very low success rate compared to other nodes in the same zone.

I had a similar problem the other night. Rank 20 mining, wearing the level 17 dated DoL set (straw hat, jacket, work gloves, culottes, and workboots, don't remember exact names of the items, but all are optimal 17). Tried quarrying in Camp Bearded Rock for some dye. A level 20, in appropriate gear, on a rank 1 node, and I failed 6 out of the 8 attempts. WTF SE?

Level 50 BTN at Bloodshore with current and up to date gear and a +1 Off Hand missed 7 of the 8 harvests on 5 different nodes within an hour. Either that is severely unlucky, or something is amiss.

use lvl 50 gear at lvl 48 = no bonus from gear

i can easily do grade 5 as lvl 25 botanist now so most likely its either extremely bad luck or the optimal stuff on your gear. both optimal thingies is green right? (class and level)

All of my gear is updated to 'new' recipes and I'm not using a single piece above my level.

You know, it's funny you should ask that, and the answer if for this particular 'vent' where I went 6/8 fails, yes it was. However, I can have similar fairure rates in other zones as well.

Sorry SE, this just isn't right. Fix it, please.

I've noticed this with all 3 secondary gatherings. But it seems to be completely random. Sometimes I miss just once or twice over awhile, then sometimes I'll miss 6 out of 7 attempts on a node.

I agree. Even at lvl 1 nodes, the secondary tools have quite a high failure rate. There is definitely something wrong here.
