Eh.

I'm gonna go with "tough noogies, you missed the event," on this one.

I wouldn't be surprised that they will eventually be up in the Cash Shop, but I wouldn't hold my breath for them.

On the argument of niche items, it's safe to say the players has earned them when the event took place. Yeah, you do see dated items like the Yukatas and now the Robes in the Cash Shop, but these are traditional to the Eorzean lore.

The Lightning event, however, was not. It was simply to promote the third installment of FFXIII. A crossover between games. A one-time occurrence.

In the end of the event storyline, Lightning straight up states she would most likely not remember the player and Eorzea, nor could she freely return to Eorzea. She just goes wherever she is told to go. Which is why the event was called "Lightning Strikes" and "Lightning Strikes Twice," to promote the game on their release dates in real life.

I hope this makes sense.

As much as I don't mind it being in the Cash Shop, SE is pretty known to get their lore on point and have it make sense for Eorzea. I'm sure we'll get cooler items and hairstyles in future events.
