Lightning/Snow Event

Hello,

At the start of Final Fantasy 14 there was a Lightning Event and all subscriber got a Lightning or a Snow Costume.

And especially after the start of Heavenward, we think that all new players deserves this event.

Please sign this Petition for Square Enix so that even new players have the chance to this event!

They already had the event 3 times now. The items may show up on Mogstation, though.

Those events were held when they tried to promote and celebrate the installments of FFXIII, 3 times already. Like other past events, they'll most likely be made available on Mogstation eventually.

We have had Lightning Event 3 times, so not only at the start of FFXIV. I do agree with you that all players should atleast be able to obtain the hairstyle, clothes and weapon. But I do think that the actual event should not be brought back. I missed some of the first year events which rewarded stuff like a barding for the Chocobo (Still want them, so please SE put them on Mog Station).

I dont mean to sound harsh and its nothing personal, but I think events should stay a 1 time thing. People have been asking for the Lightning Event, every time it ends. Every month we get a new group of players who also want to do the event. Isnt it better to just ask them to release the reward from the event to be released on Mog Station? Just make it a Lightning/Snow package, including the hairstyle/weapons/clothes.

I'll just apologize already, I know it's a bad joke. But they are both non seasonal, one time events. I know one involved the end of the world and that one difference should mean they aren't the same. However the lightning event must be stressful for poor Lightning, she keeps getting sucked into a nightmare she has already repeated 3 times already. If that happened to me, it might be as distressing as the end of the world.

It's nice to actually have some exclusive gear for once.
It's got that old concept of "You missed it? You missed it forever." feel to it that old MMOs had. Even though they brought it back twice more.

I get it new players want the gear, but it's somewhat "exclusive" now.

This game has a community so obsessed with "YOU WERE NOT THERE YOU MISSED IT LOOK HOW EXCLUSIVE I AM" and you really need to get over it come on kids. Not even amounting to sharing your toys since you do not get them taken away from you, just shared for others to enjoy.

What is the point of exclusivity other than to make people feel bad or make newbies feel like they will never amount to anything.

If they put it in the cash shop it is just a way of retroactively paying your sub for that month to get the items. If anything, SE will get the same amount of money or more. Logging on at a specific point in time does not make you special, exclusive, or more deserving.
