The Dragoon story sugesstion (spoilers)

Okay right now, Heavenwards have made several Job charatcers relevant to the story, the most notable case is Estinien Wyrmblood, however I think that his fate had tore open gaping plot hole for players that haven't DRG to 50 yet (And if my knowedge of the Echo is correct it cannot change the past, so any forays into the past would be a Stable Time Loop), so I'm here to ask if there are any changes made to the story that adress the issue, and if not, suguest a retcon for the DRG story for players that had gotten to the point where the Azure Dragoon helps the WoL in HW with a under 50 DRG.

It;s considered happening in the "past" so like think of a giant flashback when you become a dragoon .

All ARR quests and events took place before Heavensward, timeline wise, no matter when they were done by the player.

^ This. Plus because HW is an expansion, and not the game itself, I highly doubt they'd make any changes to ARR in that nature to fit with an expansion.

All quests, be they crafter, gatherer, class, job, are all in a time bubble. It keeps things much more simpler.

All the job quests are locked into a time bubble, because it is assumed that you are doing them before you complete the MSQ, not after.

As for the echo not changing the past, that is up for debate. We were the ones who gave Cid his goggles after he gave them to us and the echo kicked in, sending us back to his past. Also, in 1.0 we dropped in on a conversation Minfilia was having and she noticed.

Can I hijack this thread to say I did not think the 50-60 DRG storyline was at all relevant to the skills you got?

I would have preferred if the MC got infected with the Dragon blood and had to come to terms with and learn to control it, hence the "Blood of the Dragon" abilities. Instead, an NPC got infected with dragonblood...?

On the plus side, I did like how some dialogue changes if you were a Dragoon or not during the main story.

Estinien acknowledges the job quests during the 2.0 events and says something along the lines of "with two Azure Dragoons" in the Aery.

That would make no sense since it only applies to Dragoons with Ishgardian Heritage. It could be argued that the Dragoon's 50+ skills are due to their link to Midgardsormr though.

As for the 30-50 story I don't think they should change it. You could always Simply put its best dealt with with the player seeing it as either a flashback or some type of weird echo thing. pretend its a flashback or something. The problem is that it sets a president that will be harder and harder to match as the content moves forward. What if a character from the MNK story turns up in the MSQ if we go to Ala Mhigo (which would make sense)? If would they have to completely redo the 30 - 60 questing then? The longer it goes the more this becomes an issue.

I could buy it being Midgardsormr's link to us but I would just like the idea of Blood of the Dragon to have been explained lorewise, other than just "Welp here it is enjoy".

As for the thread's actual purpose, I believe it's been said for the most part. The job quests 30-50 canonically take place during the lv30-50 events of ARR as far as I am aware, not after or before, so it's more like an echo than anything else. They don't really need to be touched as the DRG story is also a good intro for Estinien for new players.
