What purpose is there to stop people from supporting the game at any point in time by allowing them to buy those items in the mog station? Not everyone insists that old items need to be brought back for free.

Well, there's an obvious reason for doing it this way. A limited time offer creates a sense of urgency. They want potential customers to think, "I had better subscribe right now to get that item!" Not, "I won't miss out on anything by waiting, so I'll subscribe in a few months, or maybe not at all because I'll forgot about it if I don't do it now."

For S-E it's incentive for people to subscribe sooner rather than later, and for players who participate, it's a little something for them to show off, that not everyone else has. Win-win.

99.99% of the content in the game is available to everyone who plays. There is a TINY MINORITY of special items set aside just for people who supported the game at a particular time. Is that really such an injustice?

I supported the game at the time. I even did the event and got the items!

... I would like to have those items on the character I actually play nowadays, though. And I don't really have anything against people who weren't around back then having another shot at it either.

My memory is a bit foggy regarding the event, but was it not simply a series of FATES in progressively higher level zones, which spawned every hour or so? No need to go DO aforementioned FATEs if you did not want to. Although I have no idea why anyone would complain about a novel FATE in an area.

And the resulting gear had better stats than even some HQ level gear in that level range.

the lightning FATEs happened atleast once every half hour up to twice every half hour, the gear itself is special lvl 13 gear(this gear has stats that match the lvl15(ilvl17 Foestriker & Acolyte) gear from the first 3 dungeons)and weapons. if they do redo this event in any shape or form or make it into a mockup event in the Golden Saucer I would really like to see weapons added for ROG/NIN, DRK, MCH, AST
as far as I know the FATEs themselves did not replace other FATEs but a glitch did happen during one of the runs of the event where some FATEs took a lot longer than normal to spawn and it was figured that the 3 unique FATEs(the first FATE was tied with a normal FATE, and non unique) were the cause, this was fixed pretty fast.

someone else who doesn't pay attention to why this likely won't happen.
the gear as is won't be added to the cash shop, if they do add it what will be there will be gear stripped of it's stats
it would be better if they choose to let people have this to either redo the event which seems it might make a lot of people angry for whatever silly reason or, to add a mockup of the event in the Golden Saucer using GATEs which is possible since the Golden Saucer has a lot of room in it that could be used for just such a thing.
in the end regardless of how much we do or don't want it the decision is up to Yoshi-P and crew.

If you think Lighting's hair isugly then you should look at Snow's. I don't think it should even be considered a haircut since it's covered up by that ugly bandana

I have no problem with everyone having these items but the event has already been available many times. It also kind of eliminates all 'exclusivity' if every single subscriber has them which I can see annoying a lot of players. We also had to do multiple quests for the items and weren't just given them.

Either bring the event back or just pop the items into the mogstation for Petes sake.

There's no point in bringing back the event. It will please so many players until more come along and see the items and want them aswell. They should either add them to the cash shop or just keep them exclusive.

Lol way I see it..the more people I see saying they rather have the items and have them kept to those who did the event only further makes me think they should put them into the Mogstation..what are the people gonna do? Quit a game over a simple item? Most likely not.
