Might teach them how to say Hi or Hello, to use the chat to communicate, specific sentences, no bashing, else you fail the guildheist.
This is actually a great idea. I had a situation just earlier today where in Snowcloak our tank was holding the Yeti like any other boss. Away from the party, away from the adds, and while she was dodging all the AOEs and stuff great, that boss isn't done this way. There's nothing in particular to tell you about the snowball mechanic other than, like my previous post, experienced players mentioning it. Now I (as healer) and the two DPS were asking very kindly to please turn it around. Do a 180. Face the cones at the spriggans. Do not attack the spriggans. Just simple instructions. No real emotion, positive or negative. But the tank simply didn't respond and kept doing her thing. The DPS asked me to stop healing just so one of them just so they could tank. And it wasn't until that poor new tank was dead did she even notice the chat at all. It was then she told us she was new. We all had no problems with her being new, but urged she look at the chat instead of tunnel visioning.

It's for situations exactly like this that we should teach the basic fundamentals of party combat.
