    they will probally just add some effect so they all "fly" just think ahriman should of been able to fly alongside fat chocobo not much further down the track when they patch it so anything can "fly"

    well funny you mention point you actually missed it my point was why does an already flying mount not fly when they already made groundbased mounts fly sure its great it will fly probally alongside horses and gobbues and gods know what else i just wanted to know what the reasoning was behind delaying it

    It could be for several reasons. They didn't have enough time to develop animations to transition from ground to flight, or they just didn't know people wanted it to fly until it was too late and they decided to bundle it in with 3.1. I think they already showed it in the live letter flying along with the Bomb mount, so they're just bundling it in with the other mounts.

    I do not believe anyone is seriously expecting 100% of the mounts to fly.
    They mentioned Kirin and I suppose the other primal horses, which isn't totally obscene. They're already running with magicks under their hooves, and reindeer flight isn't too far removed from unicorns and horses.
    They did mention the Bomb Palanquin and the Ahriman mounts as well, they didn't mention the Logistics System (ADS) iirc. But they haven't said anything about any other mount. I'm not actually expecting to start skating around the air on my legacy goob or having my warbear sprout wings.

    You can make some mounts fly within the realm of reason, such as the primal horses, ADS, or any other mount that works with airborne movement (granted they will need animation tweaks just considering how fast htey will have to move, as well as teh ascending/descending thing). Other things though, like a typical adamantoise or gobbue, is just pushing it when you're asking for it to fly. Even with fat chocobo it still has wings and it's basically just an obese chocobo (the latter being able to fly anyway)

    Making the Ahriman and Bomb Palanquin fly might require tweaking the animation to make the flight look good, especially when moving up or down. They didn't get around to tweaking those animations in 3.0, because they were busy designing a variety of new mounts, so they planned to do that tweaking for 3.1.

    Of course, that doesn't explain why the Gilded Magitek Armor can't shoot and the Cavalry Elbst can't spit water (like in the moonfaire 2014 event), since those animations are already in game for those specific models.

    you make some good points there didnt know the gilded didnt shoot whats the point in getting it at all if you dont have the flashy effects lol
