Problem with aquiring red scrips

I hate how the red script items are on timed nodes. If I want to cap red scripts, I have to decide between actually playing the game or stand around waiting for nodes to pop. Since there is a weekly cap, they should just be hidden items in regular level 60 nodes.

there's an app for that, it sounds an alarm when it's about to pop so you don't have to park near the node all the time.
I usually do other stuff while I wait for the node to spawn.

and you don't have to do it all in one shot, I usually spread my scrip gathering over a few days

You know, theres a ton of other things you can do while you wait for the nodes. I'd list them all but I'll let you figure that part out. Oh and you can set up a route to farm the red and blue scrips without hardly waiting for anything. Or even throw in a few other unspoiled nodes to gather to sell stuff.

And you do realize theres a weekly cap on Esoterics too? How come no complaints about that?

I don't know. As of right now, I know it takes exactly 38 of the 12-red scrip items to cap weekly. I'm guaranteed two from each node (BTN and MIN), and I can get up to four.
That's at most five hours a week of waiting, with thirty-six minutes in between each node for me to do whatever (which is a lot actually to do...stuff. Not enough for a dungeon queue but maybe go primal farming with friends? Yes). If RNG really really loves me then it's only about three hours of standing around doing nothing.

With hidden nodes I HAVE to be mining and I may or may not get those items... I hate that. I actually like this system but I seem to be alone so... that's okay.

- Takes about 9 hours to cap your Red Gathering Scrip each week with only Botanist or Miner leveled. (Two nodes. Four items per hour)

- Takes about 4.5 hours to cap if you have both leveled. (Four nodes. Eight items per hour.)

- Takes about 2.5 hours to cap if you have both leveled AND you have all of the Folklore books AND good enough gear to get two items from said nodes. (Six nodes. Twelve items per hour. Folklore items give more scrip too.)


In the long run getting your six Mining / Botany Folklore books saves you about two hours of Gathering a week. Now getting enough Blue Scrip to buy all six books can take like 11 hours so it's up to the individual whether that's worth it.


I see the majority of players taking the 4.5 hour route. You'll see 20+ players at every Chysahl Green / Adamantite Ore node at any time of day. But you'll only see one or two people at Folklore Vanilla Beans / Folklore Sun Mica / etc.

I don't think it's a problem so long as you're not just advertising the linked site with spam posts or some such.
