Nope, I meant 50, since that's when you unlock the glamour system. And if lowering the unlock requirement to, say, 20 or something, would 'promote RMT' because everyone would want to buy Thavnairian outfits and would have to resort to RMT to do so, it's a fair question to ask if that happens the moment people hit 50 and unlock the glamour system.

Edit: Whether glamouring while levelling is pointless or not is also a very subjective thing. For some dungeon gear, I immediately glamour it as soon as I can put it on. Sometimes because I don't like the 'mix-and-match' look, sometimes because I really, really dislike the look of the gear. Other times I like the look of the gear, but not the way it looks on male Au Ra. These thighs we have... In some robes or below-the-waist shirts/tunics, they can make us look more fertile than the most hourglass-shaped woman you saw. My hips don't lie.

Too bad the only people who are controlling their players is SE they decide what to spend your gil on glamour, prisms, outfits. As for your other comment: There's no black or white on this it's all about preference which you're failing to understand, no ones trying to control you we're not the government lol. Do what you want we really don't care, keep whining about this thread on the forums when there's better things for SE to spend resources on. There are people who want to glamour and there are people who are fine with where it's at that's it.

Because it's content as well as a game-play feature. Just like companion chocobos, flying mounts, materia assimilating, desynth, gear dyeing and aesthetician. The level to learn glamouring is oddly high, but I like how it's introduced through a quest. There can never bee too much lore or too many quests! (Except for those %^&$#@ moogle ones lol, jk.)

I think glamour could be introduced at 30, since that's the recipe level (despite the master book being level 50, what's up with that). In my opinion it should be basics before advanced methods, kind of like how we learn materia assimilating before desynth and ground mounts before flying. That's why it wouldn't make sense to me if the glamour quest was lower than level 15 which is the level when players learn to dye gear.

The reason is so everyone can experience the full, thrilling sensation that is donning your Tin-can armor as a Tank, your Subligar DPS, or your panty-AF as a WHM.

But yeah, it's dumb. If anything they should be Level 30, since that's the level of the Prism recipes. Also an interesting, and completely retarded fact: You need to be level 50 to be able to learn the level 30 Glamour recipes from the book. Isn't that wonderfully dumb?

Actually, I think it's just a relic of when they were implemented. They weren't there when 2.0 was released; they were added in one of the patch levels after. So a majority of players had at least one L50 class at that point, and they stuck the glamor guy out at More Spamma, so of course it was a level 50 quest.

On a meta example, they could've also wanted you to clear Praetorium (with the cut scenes and everything) in your AF gear, much like it was in your dream when you created a new character.

Thought so too. Also keeping it 50 would make an incentive for low level people to not look like crap. I mean why would a level 15 want to look like son goku (just like those p2w korean mmo)

Gotta make them work for their appearance you know?

Well, I will say there is certainly something a bit humbling about being stuck with gear "as it looks" on your initial trip to level 50. It gives you something to look forward to later on down the line, and ends up feeling like a reward for reaching (what used to be) the end game.

It's also a lot more fun (to me) to level subsequent classes while being able to keep glamours I prefer along the way. Had I been able to do that initially I don't think I would have appreciated it that much later on. Knowing how much it sucked the first time around helps to keep things in perspective.

For those reasons I think I prefer having it stay a level 50 reward rather than being unlocked earlier.

Orrrrr we let people enjoy dressing their character like they want, whenever they want? :/ I didn't appreciate Rift's or WildStar's or LoTRO's or GW2's or heck even crappy WoW's costume system any less just because I got to use it whenever I wanted. In fact, I appreciate it more, because it's that much more useful, freeform, and enjoyable! :O What a concept.
