Blacklists and perma-banned players

Given that we have seen thousands upon thousands of announced permanent player bans due to being involved in the RMT scene, it would be great if SE would do something to tag the names of these banned people so if they happen to be on somebody's BL, we can remove names safely.

All three of my characters have either full or nearly full lists and it would be awesome to finally be able to clear out some space.

Either that SE, or figure out a way to get these players off our lists anonymously?

Frankly I just stopped black listing spammers entirely. They never use the same name for more than a day, much easier to just ignore it.

I would rather SE give us better tools regarding spammers. They are taking way too long for this.

Let us reports spam by right clicking their name in the log. Doing so should also put their name in a temporary squelch list that is separate from our blacklist and only lasts for the duration of that session.

Kind of agree with second post, I normally just ignore them now, sometimes you cant even bl fast enough without getting the "player name doesn't exist" message thingy.

There have been occasions though that my bl has been completely full, I would like an optional "delete all" button for BL and while they are at it...for the opened mail as well.

While I agree an easier way to report/squelch spammers is needed, I think I understand why SE hasn't done this yet.. Look at how abused this kind of system is in other MMOs. Take wow for example - you get reported for harrassment/spam/you name it for saying hi in trade chat.

Now a good countermeasure would be to implement this system, and add in a nice little kickback that if a GM reads the report and it's not worth it, the person abusing the system eats a week ban.
