but you say 500 det min I see I always knew I needed more det but I always hit 2% on a5s with det or crit using the 210 relic so I just assumed go for more crit but I see I was wrong because I didn't upgrade more pieces to str and your saying more det so I'll just upgrade thanks for the clarification

thanks also for the information I also use Derbyshire advanced rotation so it's strictly my gear that needed work I'm new to stat weights so this patch has been fun for me

Hi guys !

I am still working on my DRG and I am not sur how to improve my rotation.

I am ilvl216 and working on the Sephi EX Dummy (1320 dps).

Edit : just upgraded and bought the 230 legs (no materias on it yet). No real progress tho as I am only reaching 1390 on the Sephi EX dummy and still can't beat A5S one.

http://ffxivrotations.com/iy Potion is obviously optional, but continue to do your opener like that so you can get used to the possibility of using it.

As for upgrades? I'd suggest getting around to overmelding that right side as much as you can. The benefit of many of those pieces will be defeated by not having them full of materia. Otherwise your accuracy (precision) is higher than it needs to be for Sephex, and your crit (critique) seems low.

Beyond that it's hard to help without a video of you actually performing the rotation.

Thanks for the link ! Just tried again on Sephi EX Dummy (without the STR pot) and still getting 1366. Guess I've either messed up somewhere during the rotation or some of my equipment parts are no good.

How much are you supposed to parse as ilvl218 with the rotation you've provided ? I don't want to try to achieve the impossible but if I am far away from what I am supposed to do, I would try to fix it.

My char's stats :

STR : 1139
ACC : 682
CRIT : 829
DET : 493
SS : 686

I use this as my opener on Seph Ex: http://ffxivrotations.com/3ub

I don't particularly like using a potion with this opener on seph specifically because it delays 3rd (?) jump until after green/purples go out. If you use it between CT-4th (and yes, you have enough time to adjust to rear or flank, jump, then execute 4th) then it's up right before he starts channeling for the big 180 cleave. If you delay it then you risk getting clipped by the puddle for a vul stack or worse.

But this is also my usual opener without pot.

I haven't quite got the a7s dummy down yet, the couple times I tried I kept messing up the rotation, but even with those mess-ups at 218 w/ seph spear I was around 1620

Really? I mean it's always tight for me, but I tend to land from that last jump right as the circles go out on people, giving me plenty of time to react. You just sorta have to be spot on with prepping your oGCDs ahead of time I've found. Never really had to adjust my opener for it though (agreed though, not worth bothering with pot on p1).

And yea, I have no idea what exactly you should pulling Azuresky, but I've been capable of 1500+ over 3 minutes since ilvl 210. I'm going to guess there's something wrong with your actual execution (dot uptime, improper cooldown use, etc...). Try giving the Front page a glance through again (particularly the rotation videos posted).

Yea, you need to get that jump off asap or (depending on when you pop B4B exactly) you can't get that next jump in under B4B. At least it seemed that way
