The crafted 250 set with Sophic Pike would be the obvious choice. If you pentameld it you'll end up with quite a bit of skill speed but it can be a good thing for progression while you're getting familiar with the fights, more leniency to refreshing BotD. If you don't like that you can simply replace some pieces with Prototype Alexandrian gear. Replacing the belt and neck slots with Proto-Alex gear would get rid of some for example.
Yeah, try to avoid learning the job the wrong way with 750 + SS.
Yeah im aware of that, i should aim for 2.4s gcd ^^ and thanks for that list it helps a lot
Also i just might continue progressing with my NIN and then do the transation from there :P
Also its weird how the crit is higher with crafted gear than the 270 gear :O

It's just a case of unfortunate stat allocation for us. In return we get a lot of determination on our gear (well, the BiS anyway). Times like this make me wonder if Square actually plans out their items or just haphazardly slap stats on gear and pray that something good comes out of it.
^think it's the latter, I've gone down from 762 to 724 ss now. It still is waaay too much, according to dervy's bis we should be good with ss later down the line. But for now it's getting the right gear/doing savage weekly for gear and hoping it has no ss on it lol
I don't parse so what's a good dps to shoot for like 1500-2000?
We would need a little bit more info than "what should I parse" to determine that. What is the scenario? Dummy? Buffs, food? An actual encounter? Your gear?
FFlogs can give you an idea but you have to filter out the Astrologians if your group doesn't have one and also take into account that some people already have the 260-275 weapons and other gear to push up their DPS quite significatly. Taking a look at the 50th-75th percentiles is probably a good idea if you want to see how the average Dragoon does like. Comparing yourself to the top 1% won't do much good unless you're similarly geared and catered to.
Yup, you just have to click on the name of the boss you want to check and you'll have the top 200 instead of 10.
